Role Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Data Engineer to join our growing data team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of modern data stack technologies and be proficient in building and maintaining robust data pipelines. This role requires expertise in ELT processes, data warehousing, and scripting, along with the ability to collaborate effectively with other engineers and stakeholders.

Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and maintain efficient and reliable data pipelines using modern ELT tools like DBT, Fivetran, Matillion, Talend, or Ab Initio.
Implement data transformations and cleansing processes to ensure data quality and accuracy.
Build and optimize data models for cloud data warehouses like Databricks, Snowflake, or Redshift.
Write complex SQL queries for data extraction, transformation, and loading.
Develop and maintain shell or Python scripts for automation and data processing.
Monitor and troubleshoot data pipelines to ensure optimal performance and stability.
Collaborate with data scientists and analysts to understand their data needs and provide support.
Stay up-to-date with the latest data engineering trends and technologies.
Contribute to the development of data engineering best practices and standards.
Participate in code reviews and ensure code quality.
Work closely with the infrastructure team to deploy and manage data pipelines.

Requirements:
15+ years of experience in data engineering or a related field.
Strong proficiency in SQL.
Experience with one or more modern ELT tools (e.g., DBT, Fivetran, Matillion, Talend, Ab Initio).
Experience with cloud data warehouses (e.g., Databricks, Snowflake, Redshift).
Strong scripting skills in shell or Python.
Understanding of data warehousing concepts and dimensional modeling.
Experience with data integration and ETL processes.
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.2
