Overview
Capco is seeking Solution Architect to help our banking and financial services clients create solutions that customers love and that drive commercial success.

Your Role
As a Capco Solution Architect, your responsibilities within our client delivery teams will include:
- Teamwork: Work together with multidisciplinary product teams, including designers and engineers/developers, to identify and solve key customer problems and to design solutions that are both user-friendly and technically feasible.
- Hands-on Contribution: Actively participate in all stages of architectural design - from initial discovery session to creating detailed designs - to ensure the robustness, scalability, and performance of proposed solutions.
- Expertise and Communication: Effectively communicate and explain architectural decisions and trade-offs with clarity and pedagogy to both internal teams and clients, including non-technical stakeholders, while demonstrating the added value of proposed solutions.
- Tech Culture and Innovation: Actively contribute to the life of Capco’s architecture chapter and client tech communities: leading internal workshops (tech talks, brown bag lunches, etc.), sharing best practices, staying on top of emerging trends, and promoting engineering culture.
- Operational Excellence: Ensure the quality of deliverables by following industry best practices and advocating for continuous quality improvement (reducing technical debt, adopting modern patterns, etc.).
- Technology Watch and Experimentation: Stay current with emerging technologies and market trends (Cloud, Data, DevOps, AI, etc.), and assess new approaches to enrich our offerings and solutions.
EXPERIENCE AND REQUIRED SKILLS
- Professional Experience
- You hold a degree from a top engineering school and have at least 5 years of experience as a Solution Architect in a technology driver company.
- You are skilled at tackling complex problems and presenting logical, data-driven, and structured recommendations.
- You are well-versed in the banking, financial services or other regulated sector.
- You have experience with agile delivery, having worked with agile frameworks such as Scrum, Kanban, or SAFe in complex project environments.
- Technical Skills
- Expert in architecture principles, modular design, separation of concerns, etc.
- Expert in microservices architecture (functional decomposition, synchronous/asynchronous inter-service communication, dependency management).
- Strong experience in designing RESTful APIs, including authentication and authorization mechanisms (OAuth2, JWT).
- Strong experience with integration patterns such as SAGA, Event Sourcing, and CQRS.
- Experience with event-driven architectures using message brokers (Kafka, SQS, Pub/Sub, RabbitMQ, etc.).
- Strong experience with cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP): cloud-native design, high availability, scalability.
- Experience with Domain-Driven Design (DDD): strategic design, identification of bounded contexts, and rich domain modelling.
- Understanding and design experience with both SQL and NoSQL databases.
- Soft Skills and Other Competencies
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; capable of making technical concepts accessible to non-technical stakeholders.
- Critical thinker and solution-oriented mindset, with the ability to analyse complex problems and propose pragmatic and robust solutions.
- Intellectual curiosity and a strong commitment to staying current with evolving technologies and methodologies.
- Adaptability in fast-paced environments with continuous collaboration between business and IT teams.
- Fluent in English.
