Job Summary

Evaluates business needs and determines how IT can support those needs leveraging software, hardware, or infrastructure. Crafts, develops, integrates, and deploys sophisticated solitons across diverse platforms and applications. Applies knowledge of business, systems, data, security, application and technology architecture including developing cloud infrastructure and adopting security measures for data, systems, and networks. Serves as the function's go-to subject matter expert by leveraging advanced architecture capabilities. Collaborate with business, product and other stakeholders to drive best-in-class outcomes ensuring that systems adhere to both functional and technical specifications, including security and compliance standards. Serves as trusted advisor between IT and business operations ensuring technical solutions designed will meet business needs. Provides direction and guidance on organizational strategy and functional architecture. Works closely with functional leaders, line of business leaders, and subject matter experts in developing solutions that support strategic business needs.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

• Analyzes current systems and architectures to identify strengths, weaknesses, and areas for improvement.
• Collaborates with business, product, operations and other technical stakeholders to identify and scope the opportunities, quantify costs, outline potential value and ROI, identify risks, benefits and constraints.
• Recommends technology solutions for the overall ecosystem, an application programming and integration solution through research on alternative options.
• Acts as a trusted advisor on strategies and approaches for overall integration of technology components.
• Investigates emerging technologies and trends, proposing strategic updates and advancements. Finds the right balance between innovation, technical feasibility and long-term sustainability.
• Develops, presents and explains the value and vision of proposed architectures and solutions to a wide range of audience. Evaluates and selects appropriate technologies and platforms for the solution.
• Designs high-level solutions, integrating modern and emerging fintech technologies with traditional banking systems for robust, seamless payment operations.
• Articulates technology solutions as well as explains the competitive advantages of various technology alternatives.
• Each team member is expected to be aware of risk within their functional area. This includes observing all policies, procedures, laws, regulations and risk limits specific to their role. Additionally, they should raise and report known or suspected violations to the appropriate Company authority in a timely fashion.
• Performs other related duties as required.

Minimum Requirements

Minimum Education:

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or other related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Minimum Experience:

• 12 years of IT work experience in multiple IT areas in a multi-tier environment working as a SME to link technology with business values whilst guiding stakeholders through the right technology choices suitable to their core short- and long-term needs.

• Knowledge of business re-engineering principles and processes
• Knowledge of network architecture, client/server processing and object-oriented analysis and design

Additional Information

Preferred Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:

• Payment integration, card payment processing and authorizations / authentication experience in the payments and financial services industry, preferably in banking
• Experience with integration of the payment hubs with core banking systems, fraud and risk systems, sanctions screening, and money movement rails
• Experience with Microservice based architecture, designing enterprise services or integration capabilities using REST APIs and event-driven technology as well as leveraging native Cloud services (Azure AWS)
• Experience in Cloud, Data, DevOps, Domain Driven Design, DevSecOps, Architecture Frameworks (TOGAF), and Agile
• Experience with Risk, Regulatory, and Compliance associated with payment processing and security across layers (OAuth2/3, encryption, SSL)
• Strong expertise within Payments in the Banking space including ACH, Wires, PEP+, RTP, FedNow, Zelle, Card Networks, Payment Gateway, Payment Orchestration layers and working with payment vendor solutions
• Payments domain expert with thorough knowledge of Payment Transactions including Issuing, Acquiring, and Processing, SO20022, ISO8583, PCI DSS, ISO20022 standards
• Strong hands-on working experience on Processor platforms/Certifications, Payment Hub and Card networks, and ACH Originators.
• Thorough knowledge of POS, Payment terminals, Card Present Card Not Present, Mobile Deposits, Digital payments, mobile deposits, BNPL, Wallets and other payment channels financial transactions.
