Solution Architect – Order to Cash (O2C) & Procure to Pay (P2P) (m/f/d)

We are seeking an experienced Solution Architect to design and implement enterprise scalable solutions for business processes including Order to Cash (O2C) and Procure to Pay (P2P).  The role requires expertise in system architecture, technical understanding business process optimization, and cross-system integration to ensure seamless end-to-end workflows across enterprise platforms including ERP, e-commerce, logistics and other solutions.

1. Solution Architecture & Design
   • Develop and maintain a comprehensive business and technical architecture for cross-stream business processes, ensuring scalability, performance, and security.
   • Design system integrations between our legacy ERPs like Navision ERP and SAGE X3, future Enterprise scale ERP system, legacy web shops, SAP Commerce Cloud, and multiple WMS platforms to enable seamless data flow and process automation.
   • Contribute and enforce architectural standards, best practices, and governance processes.
2. Business Process Alignment
   • Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand their requirements and align system designs with business objectives.
   • Analyse current processes for inefficiencies and propose architectural solutions to improve them.
3. Technical Leadership & Strategy
   • Act as the subject matter expert (SME) for business solution areas, providing technical guidance to internal teams and external vendors.
   • Define the long-term architectural roadmap for the integration of ERP, e-commerce, and logistics platforms.
4. System Integration
   • Lead the design and implementation of APIs, middleware, and other integration technologies to ensure seamless connectivity between systems.
   • Ensure data consistency, integrity, and security across integrated platforms.
5. Project Delivery & Oversight
   • Oversee the delivery of solution implementations, ensuring alignment with the architecture.
   • Collaborate with project managers, developers, and analysts to ensure timely and successful delivery.
6. Technology Evaluation & Innovation
   • Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend innovative solutions to enhance the O2C and P2P processes.
   • Propose strategies for system scalability and cloud expansion.
7. Documentation & Knowledge Sharing
   • Create and maintain technical documentation, including architecture diagrams, data flow models, and integration specifications.
   • Provide mentorship and knowledge transfer to internal teams.

• Bachelor’s degree, preferably master’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, or a related field.
• Strong expertise in business processes, including order management, invoicing, procurement, inventory, and fulfilment workflows.
• In-depth knowledge of SAP Commerce Cloud, Enterprise scale ERP and WMS platforms, with experience in integrating multiple systems in a distribution focused business.
• Proficiency in designing and implementing enterprise architectures using APIs, microservices, and middleware platforms.
• Hands-on experience with integration tools and platforms (e.g., Dell Boomi, MuleSoft, or similar).
• Strong understanding of data flows, ETL processes, and system security best practices.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on delivering scalable solutions.
• Ability to travel to EU locations as required.
• 9+ years of demonstrated experience in solution architecture, with a focus on ERP, e-commerce, and/or logistics systems.
• Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., Azure) and DevOps practices is a plus.
• Knowledge of Agile methodologies and project management tools.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., TOGAF, SAP Commerce Cloud, or ERP-specific certifications) are a plus.
