We are currently looking for a skilled & passionate Solution Architect (m/f/d)
to join our Strategy Projects Tech Team at ABOUT YOU!
Our Strategy Projects Tech Team is responsible for steering our most important strategic initiatives across our full system landscape. Doing so they ensure efficient and smooth cross-system solutions to enable our commerce business (all our About You shops in the different countries in which we operate).
What you will do
- Design cross-system architecture solutions by knowing the split of responsibility between the systems in the ABOUT YOU landscape and allocating new functionalities accordingly
- Craft elegant, web-based architecture solutions (utilizing the right programming language from our existing repertoire (like PHP or GO), AWS, Containers, Microservices, APIs, Message Queuing) and define technical requirements to the development teams whilst having the big picture in mind
- Support the development teams in finding solutions for complex challenges by advising, and taking business needs and risks into account
- Accompany implementation of solutions to watch out for, and resolve upcoming blockers on the way
- Ensure architectural consistency across teams by providing the teams with knowledge from other systems
Who you are
Technical Skills:
- Completed studies in informatics or a comparable course of study
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in IT, with a proven track record in solution architecture
- Solid experience in the conception of complex (cloud) architectures, interfaces and processes
- Routined in solution specification, visualization, presentation, and test planning
- Familiarity with cloud platforms and services, preferably AWS
- Knowledge of data storage, processing, and management technologies to handle large volumes of data efficiently
- Ability to investigate monitoring and logging platforms like Kibana, Sentry, Datadog
- Don't hesitate to dive into merge requests or existing code (e.g. in PHP, Laravel) to comprehend business processes
Soft Skills:
- Strong written and spoken English skills
- Ability to communicate complex technical concepts and potential issues (and their effects) clearly and effectively to both technical and business stakeholders
- Ability to grasp new topics fast and break down complex problems
- Drive to stay updated with emerging technologies relevant to the business
- Ability to work in a well-structured and organized way
