Solution Architect for IT Corporate

We are looking for a senior Solution Architect who can define target architecture, guide strategic direction, and connect business needs with sustainable technology choices for corporate data platform and financial reporting.

As a Solution Architect in the Corporate area, you play a key role in setting the architectural direction across corporate domains such as Finance, HR, and Risk. A central responsibility of this role is to define and drive the architecture of the Corporate Data Platform, supporting ERP transformation and enabling financial and enterprise reporting across domains. This includes ensuring clear principles for how data is shared and governed.

You work closely with business stakeholders, product teams, and engineering to ensure that solutions align with target architecture, business priorities, and long-term sustainability. The primary focus of this role is to ensure that the Corporate Data Platform effectively supports financial reporting and broader enterprise reporting needs in a scalable and governed way.

Your responsibilities 

As a Solution Architect in Corporate, you will:

• Define and evolve target architecture for the Corporate area

• Translate business goals into architectural direction and solution design principles

• Drive alignment across teams and domains, ensuring consistency and reuse

• Communicate architectural decisions, trade-offs, and risks to both technical and non-technical stakeholders

• Ensure that data architecture supports financial and enterprise reporting requirements, including consistency, quality, and reuse

• Guide and support teams without being the primary implementer

• Contribute to architectural governance, principles, and decision frameworks

• Collaborate with the wider architecture community to ensure alignment across If

IT Corporate is a Nordic/Baltic IT unit with around 60 employees. To strengthen our support for ongoing business and technology transformation, we are now looking for a Solution Architect to help design and establish our Corporate Data Platform, built on Databricks, Azure Data Factory, and Azure services.

You will be part of the IT Corporate Architecture team, working closely with corporate units such as Accounting, Financial Reporting, Cash Management, Marketing, Legal, HR, and Risk. The Corporate Architecture unit is part of If’s centralized IT Architecture organization.

We work closely with business and engineering teams on large, cross-cutting initiatives and are actively transforming the IT landscape of the Corporate area. Our mission is to build a modern and sustainable tech landscape that delivers stable, high-quality solutions and enables business transformation — particularly within the CFO area and financial reporting.

You are a senior architect with strong communication skills and a proven ability to create alignment across both business and IT.

You are comfortable working at a strategic level, defining direction while also supporting teams in making the right decisions. You can explain complex topics in a clear and structured way and build trust with stakeholders across the organization.

You bring a holistic perspective, understanding how architecture, data, and business processes come together to support long-term transformation.

We believe that you

• Experience defining and driving architecture for data platforms, preferably supporting financial or enterprise reporting

• Proven ability to define and drive target architecture and architectural roadmaps

• Experience working close to business stakeholders, ideally within finance or corporate functions

• Strong understanding of data and integration concepts in enterprise environments

• Experience working across multiple teams and domains in large-scale transformations

We also consider it an advantage if you have experience from the insurance sector or banking, and have an understanding of financial processes and financial reporting.
