Job Description:
Airbus Defence and Space is looking for a Satcom - Ground Segment - System Architect (f/m) to join our Design Authority and Technical Governance team based in Elancourt, France.
You will be part of a team developing complex satellite systems with a focus on the ground segment of the system. As part of the Design Authority and Technical Governance team you will be involved in bid and project phases aiming at delivering proposals related to RFPs and at delivering satellite ground segment solutions for the Airbus Defense and Space customers.
MANDATORY :
- This position requires a security clearance or will require being eligible for clearance by the recognized authorities.
- You must be a French citizen and this position requires a security clearance from recognized authorities as per the IGI 1300 of August 9, 2021 (§1.2.2.1).
Your challenges:
- Define and contribute to the solution architecture concepts and designs in pre-sales phases and in the early phases of the project execution with a strong focus on maximizing re-use.
- Establish and apply reference solution architectures and design patterns within Product & Solution development teams
- Manage engineering assets and implement governance on the Asset/Product lifecycle, aligning with the Make/Buy/Partner strategy in collaboration with the Portfolio team.
- Contribute to the assessment of technical reviews for bids and projects to ensure the maximization of re-use and adherence to reference architectures principles.
- Coordinate with specialist entities to deliver a holistic technical governance picture for customer systems and reference solutions.
Your profile:
- Min 10 years of professional experience
- Proven experience as a System or Solution Lead Architect.
- Strong background in satellite telecoommunication systems.
- Proven experience in reference architectures and design patterns definition.
- Experience in technical governance and asset management.
- Experience in Model Based System Engineering (MBSE).
