Marmon Industrial Water designs and manufactures water and wastewater treatment equipment solutions, under the brand names Graver Water Systems and Ecodyne. Our technologies include raw water pretreatment, filtration, ion exchange, demineralization, degasification, hot lime softening, boiler make-up, condensate polishing, wastewater treatment, cooling, and oil/water separation for markets such as petrochemical/chemical, power generation and heavy industrial plants.

Marmon Industrial Water is currently seeking a highly skilled and motivated CAD/SolidWorks Administrator to play a key role in supporting our Engineering Department by managing and optimizing CAD software tools, with a primary focus on SolidWorks. This includes system administration, troubleshooting, and driving continuous improvement initiatives to enhance engineering operations. As the role develops, there may be opportunities to take on increased responsibilities, including mentoring and training initiatives within the department.

Responsibilities

  • Administer and support the use of SolidWorks, including system configuration, license and library management, and ensuring its efficient use across the design team.
  • Act as the dedicated SolidWorks expert, providing troubleshooting, technical support, and guidance to the team.
  • Lead SolidWorks training initiatives, mentor colleagues on best practices, and support them in overcoming design challenges.
  • Administer the PDM system or Autodesk Vault, ensuring data integrity, user access, and efficient workflows.
  • Champion the development of 3D design automation, macros, and other process improvements to streamline design workflows and enhance efficiency.
  • Manage and contribute in business improvement projects related to CAD software, collaborating with internal teams and other stakeholders to develop and enhance existing tools and solutions.
  • Lead the change management process for CAD system upgrades or changes, ensuring smooth transitions and team adoption.
  • Collaborate with project teams, providing expert CAD support for project design and execution, ensuring full utilization of SolidWorks and PDM systems for maximum efficiency.
  • Maintain SolidWorks Expert Certification and stay up to date on new features, continually improving both personal skills and departmental CAD workflows.

Qualifications

  • SolidWorks Expert certification is required.
  • +5 years of experience in CAD administration or similar technical support role.
  • Proven experience in troubleshooting, supporting and mentoring others in SolidWorks and related tools.
  • Background in Mechanical design, engineering or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of CAD workflows and process automation, including experience with macros and developing tools to improve business processes.
  • Experience with PDM administration or Autodesk Vault for managing design data, document control, and user access.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to resolve design and CAD related issues.
  • Excellent communication skills to effectively interpret and deliver technical information to team members and stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to manage projects, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
  • Knowledge of piping design and relevant codes is preferred.
  • Experience with additional CAD tools such as AutoCAD or Inventor is preferred.
  • Strong desire to grow professionally and contribute to team development.
  • Experience in process automation and continuous improvement within a design environment is preferred.

Additional Information

  • This role may require up to 10% travel within North America
