NVIDIA Silicon Solutions Group is looking to hire a hard-working, deeply technical, creative, hands-on software developer to help pioneer the next generation of automation tools. As a member of the SW/Tools team, you will be involved in developing and supporting software solutions for all types of NVIDIA products. In this role, you will plan, build, and maintain software tools, scripts, and frameworks that automate engineering procedures with the goal of improving overall efficiency, reliability, and throughput. Your contributions will span all aspects of the development lifecycle, including planning, developing, documenting, quality assurance, and long-term maintenance. What You'll Be Doing:

Improve existing software architectures through new feature implementation, debug, and analysis

Collaborate with software, hardware, and systems engineering teams to provide robust automation solutions

Coordinate with project management to deliver project-aligned solutions
-
Support internal/external users through bug fixes, documentation, and feature improvements.

Maintain high-quality products through thoughtful design and detailed test coverage.
What We Need to See:
-
BS (or equivalent experience) with 8+ yrs or MS with 6+ yrs experience in Computer Science/Engineering or equivalent experience

3+ years of automation testing experience using Python
-
Scripting experience with Bash and PowerShell
-
Some experience with IPC and multithreading, client/server development

Experience with source code version control systems (Git, Perforce - preferred)

Motivated self-starter with strong analytical and debug skills

Ability to quickly learn and adapt to new technologies and tools in a fast-paced environment

Ability to balance multiple simultaneous projects
Ways to stand out from the crowd:

Experience writing automation software

Experience using infrastructure automation tools such as Ansible

Programming experience with C, SQL, C#, and/or Perl

Web/API development experience (C#, Entity Framework)

Knowledge of communication protocols (RS232, SSH, Telnet, Redfish, I2C) as well as experience with building Grafana dashboards

A deep understanding of systems architecture: CPU, GPU, memory, display, buses, kernel internals is useful

The base salary range is 180,000 USD - 339,250 USD. Your base salary will be determined based on your location, experience, and the pay of employees in similar positions.
You will also be eligible for equity and benefits. NVIDIA accepts applications on an ongoing basis.
