POSITION OVERVIEW
The position is responsible for delivering the design and development of new and emerging systems/applications on multiple platforms. This position will also participate in architectural and design discussions with senior team members to come up with fitting solutions to problems, while developing and translating user experience guidelines across multiple devices and platforms.
ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsibilities:
1. Test Management
- Responsible for setting up the test environment, create/ design Test scenarios and Test cases.
- Analyze, review and assess software requirements, specifications and models for testability.
- Measure performance of components and provide data for software metrics.
- Track overall app productivity i.e. bugs arising and resolution quality.
2. Test Script Creation and Refactoring
- Automate tests (supported by test lead).
- Contribute to the creation of test plans & test reports.
- No of bugs triaged as per defined process.
- Accountable for App testing configurations software modules (Unit and integration testing) against final requirements as per Microsoft/partner requirements.
3. Test Execution
- Prepare and acquire test data.
- Execute and log tests, evaluate results and document deviations from expected results.
- Conduct Peer Reviews on Test Cases and Defects.
- Perform Sanity, System Testing and Regression Testing.
4. Test Reporting
- Run reports on identified defects and tracking them to closure.
- Periodic (Daily) reporting of the Daily status of all assigned tasks to the supervisor.
Planned attendance for optimum service support as scheduled.

Academic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information System, Electrical Engineering or related fields.

- Relevant professional qualification;
Experience
1. Strong QA Fundamentals + Windows Domain Knowledge + Semi Development Skills
l Prior experience of >=5yrs in testing or deep OS-level understanding
l Strong grasp of QA lifecycle, including test planning, test case design, bug lifecycle, and release cycles
2. Proven Leadership & People Skills
l Prior experience in testing or deep OS-level understanding
l Demonstrates structured thinking, ownership of outcomes, and proactive status updates
3. Communication & Escalation Maturity
l Clear and concise communicator (spoken and written)
l Ability to speak confidently during triage meetings and push back constructively when needed
l Able to translate engineering feedback into team actionable effectively
4. Tooling Familiarity
l Prior hands-on with tools like:
u ADO
u Bug tracking systems (e.g., Azure DevOps, Jira)
u Excel/Power BI for KPI reporting (preferred)
l Knowledge and use of AI tools
5. Metrics & Process Oriented
l Experience building and tracking QA dashboards, KPIs, and defect metrics
l Shows evidence of process improvement contributions in past roles
6. Culture Fit & Collaboration
l Willingness to work in tandem with the onsite presence and adapt to Microsoft culture
l Open to receiving feedback from both onsite and partner teams
l Experience in high-stakes or cross-team collaboration environments
- >=3 years of relevant experience building and managing high performance testing teams
Skills Required
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, Electrical Engineering, or a related field
- Relevant professional qualification
- At least 5 years of experience in software testing or deep operating-system-level understanding
- Strong understanding of QA lifecycle, including test planning, test case design, defect lifecycle, and release cycles
- Prior experience building and managing high-performing testing teams, with at least 3 years of relevant experience
- Leadership, structured thinking, ownership of outcomes, and proactive status communication
- Clear written and verbal communication, including participation in triage and constructive escalation
- Ability to translate engineering feedback into actionable team direction
- Hands-on experience with Azure DevOps or similar bug-tracking systems such as Jira
- Experience building and tracking QA dashboards, KPIs, and defect metrics
- Knowledge and use of AI tools
- Excel or Power BI experience for KPI reporting
- Experience contributing to process improvements
- Experience collaborating in high-stakes or cross-team environments
- Willingness to work alongside onsite teams and adapt to Microsoft culture
