The Opportunity
As a Software Test Lead, you'll use your data, technical, teamwork and team leading skills, knowledge of testing and test automation, DevSecOps tools and methods to help deploy and improve Data Models and Products. You will align and integrate well with testers, developers, engineers, analysts, scrum masters, delivery managers and other stakeholders.
Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of data test engineers.
  • Support business analysts and users during the UAT.
  • Review user stories and evaluate their acceptance criteria.
  • Work closely with others to recognize the potential for any operational issues, assess risks, and help to resolve issues before the new software is complete.
  • Define, inform, and educate the team on best practices for test-driven development, automated testing methodologies, development workflow improvements, continuous integration/deploy-ment, and release management.
  • Create test strategies, test approaches, test plans, test scenarios, test cases and automated test scripts for new or changed software.
  • Implement software tests, using either manual or automated approaches, as well as exploratory testing.
  • Run diverse sets of tests on new or changed software products to ensure they satisfy all specifi-cations and requirements and evaluate results.
  • Write detailed, high quality defect reports for any issues encountered during testing activities.
  • Provide feedback to team members and stakeholders regarding usability and functionality and provide understandable test reports.


Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in relevant field, or other relevant work experience.
  • 5+ years of relevant professional hands-on experience in data analysis and data testing on agile projects with a focus on team leading and test automation (preferably using tools such as Tosca, Selenium & GitHub Actions).
  • Solid experience with Python, relational databases, SQL & ETL.
  • Big data engineering experience with Informatica and/or Databricks.
  • Good experience with testing in the cloud (AWS).
  • Good to have some experience with performance testing.
  • Experience with test planning and set-up of test strategies.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills.
  • Able to work across multiple time zones.
  • Interest in the newest testing and test automation trends and best practices.
  • Excellent in analyzing problems and developing solutions.
  • Proficient in both oral and written communication in English.

Salary
As a motivated employee, you should be compensated appropriately. The minimum salary for this position is €3800 per month (full time), but your final remuneration package may be higher depending on your qualifications and experience.
