Job Description
The Opportunity
As a Software Test Engineer, you'll use your technical and teamwork skills, knowledge of testing and test automation, DevSecOps tools and methods to help deploy and improve our solutions. You will align and integrate well with testers, developers, engineers, analysts, scrum masters, delivery managers and other stakeholders.
Responsibilities
  • Review user stories and evaluate their acceptance criteria.
  • Work closely with others to recognize the potential for any operational issues, assess risks, and help to resolve issues before the new software is complete.
  • Review and contribute to test plans and test reports.
  • Cooperate with other teams to understand full end-to-end use-cases to meet cross-functional requirements.
  • Define test strategy, create System Test scenarios, test cases and regression test scripts for new or changed software.
  • Collaborate with the team to develop UAT scenarios, create test cases, and manage execution in the testing tool.
  • Implement software tests, using either manual or automated approaches, as well as exploratory testing.
  • Run diverse sets of tests on new or changed software products to ensure they satisfy all specifications and requirements and evaluate results.
  • Write detailed, high quality defect reports for any issues encountered during testing activities.
  • Provide feedback to team members and stakeholders regarding usability and functionality and provide understandable test reports.

Skills and Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in relevant field, or other relevant work experience.
  • 4+ years of relevant professional experience in software testing on agile projects with a focus on test automation.
  • Experience with test design and set-up of test approaches that match testing rigor with risk from failure.
  • Experience in testing web services and performance testing of applications.
  • Mindset to think of various failure modes (including corner cases) for an application, and critical thinking ability to break application in areas not comprehended by the developers.
  • Solid experience with relational databases and/or SQL, and testing of dashboards.
  • Good experience with testing SaaS and homegrown web-based applications hosted in the cloud.
  • Understanding and interest in the newest testing and test automation trends and best practices.
  • Good in analyzing problems and developing solutions.
  • Proficient in both oral and written communication in English. Follow good documentation practices for both test case and defect documentation.
  • Team player with innovative thinking.
