About the role:
The Software Test Engineer Specialist will be responsible for designing and implementing comprehensive test procedures to ensure that software products behave as intended and meet quality standards before release. The role includes contributing to test strategy, driving quality initiatives, and leveraging modern automation and Agentic AI–based testing approaches.
Requirements
What you'll do:
- Thorough knowledge of testing activities such as Test Planning, Test Execution, Testing Processes, Testing Tools, and Testing Methodologies (Functional, Regression, System, Integration, Content Testing, etc.). Able to define and articulate the test strategy and review it with Development and Product/Program Management for alignment and approval. Prepares detailed test estimates and project schedules.
- Test software and system changes scheduled for delivery to LRN customers.
- Participate in and provide critical feedback during requirements, functional, and technical specification walkthroughs.
- Drive long-term group quality strategy that aligns with the overall business and IT goals. Communicate strategies, methodologies, and tools to team members, project teams, program management, and partner groups.
- End-to-end ownership and accountability for Functional, Integration, System, Regression, Performance, and AI-driven automated testing for assigned applications.
- Lead the implementation of continuous improvement initiatives, including new tools, intelligent automation frameworks, and Agentic AI–based test generation and execution. Monitor progress toward business goals/SLAs and adjust assignments as necessary.
- Ensure timely and accurate reporting, tracking, debugging, validation, and closure of defects uncovered during testing.
- Demonstrate strong collaboration with project teams to ensure alignment with business goals.
- Proactively escalate issues, risks, and status updates to Leads and communicate impacts to the team.
- Utilize Agentic AI frameworks to auto-generate test scenarios, perform autonomous exploratory testing, detect anomalies, accelerate regression coverage, and optimize test pipelines.
What we're looking for:
- Bachelor’s degree with 6–18 years of experience in a software organization focused on testing, including at least 5+ years in automation testing.
- Strong knowledge of SDLC and STLC processes.
- Mandatory hands-on experience with Selenium automation tool.
- Strong expertise in functional and automated testing, test strategy and planning, writing detailed test cases, and deep technical understanding.
- Working knowledge of SQL, relational database systems, and related methodologies.
- Proven experience with QA processes and documentation (QA Checklists, Test Cases, Test Plans).
- Excellent hands-on expertise with Selenium and Postman.
- Working knowledge of at least one programming language—preferably Java, Python, Perl & Typescript..
- Experience in MCP, Agentic AI frameworks or tools (e.g., Playwright, autonomous test agents, AI-driven test case generation, LLM-based validation, self-healing automation frameworks).
- Ability to integrate AI models into QA workflows to improve coverage, accuracy, and speed.
- Knowledge of Learning Management Systems (LMS) and the e-Learning domain with content development experience is a plus
