Job Summary
Poppulo is building its next-generation Digital Signage platform, supporting content management, scheduling, integrations, media delivery, analytics, and reporting for customers around the world.
We are looking for a hands-on Software Test Engineer II to join our Digital Signage Platform team. You will help ensure high-quality releases through a practical mix of manual, exploratory, API, integration, and automated testing.

Key Responsibilities
- Own testing for assigned features across web, API, integration, and regression scenarios.
- Design and execute functional, exploratory, integration, and regression testing.
- Build and maintain automated tests using Playwright and modern testing practices.
- Validate REST APIs, integrations, and end-to-end workflows.
- Work with Engineering, Product, UX, and DevOps to define acceptance criteria and identify quality risks early.
- Participate in sprint planning, backlog refinement, story reviews, and release validation.
- Investigate defects using logs, monitoring data, and cloud-based application tools.
- Help improve test coverage, automation reliability, and overall release confidence.
- Contribute to the team’s move toward more automated and AI-assisted quality engineering practices.
- Support a culture where quality is a shared responsibility across the engineering team.
Technical Skills / Experience
Required
- 4–6 years of experience in Software Testing or Quality Engineering.
- Hands-on experience testing SaaS, web, or cloud-based applications.
- Strong experience with API, UI, integration, regression, and exploratory testing.
- Hands-on test automation experience using Playwright/Selenium.
- Experience testing REST APIs and integrations.
- Experience working with JavaScript/TypeScript or Java in a test automation context.
- Experience working in Agile development teams and CI/CD environments.
- Ability to balance hands-on manual testing with improving automation coverage.
- Strong troubleshooting, communication, and collaboration skills.
Nice to Have
- Experience with AWS or cloud monitoring tools such as CloudWatch, Grafana, Prometheus, or OpenTelemetry.
- Experience with GitLab or similar CI/CD platforms.
- Experience writing SQL queries and validating data.
- Experience testing distributed systems, event-driven applications, or media/content platforms.
- Exposure to performance or load testing.
- Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, ECS, or EKS.
- Experience using AI-assisted tools to support test creation, defect investigation, documentation, or log analysis.
