You are part of the Software Test Engineering team, ensuring the quality, reliability, and regulatory compliance of the Philips patient monitoring platform. Working in close collaboration with a global team of software test engineers, you contribute to the continuous improvement of our verification practices and test processes.
In this role, you have the opportunity to drive and design efficient software verification solutions for Philips patient monitors. You work closely with global teams across Software Verification, Software Development, and Quality Engineering to define test strategies, align on requirements, and continuously evolve tools and ways of working.
Your responsibilities:
Test coordination: As one of the main technical interfaces engage and contribute to the definition of testable requirements and coach the test team in designing and performing test cases and test plans.
Test strategy: One of the main interfaces for defining the test strategy and approach to ensure the quality of the software.
Define the way of working: for the software test engineering team and ensure that this way of working is in line with (regulatory) standards & processes
Owner of deliverables: responsible for creating test documentation according to our processes and providing additional requested information, e.g. in audits
Stakeholder management: within and beyond own team, e.g. functional managers, project manager, systems engineers/ development engineers.
You’re the right fit if you have
A team‑oriented mindset and a strong interest in personal and team development
Strong analytical, conceptual, and problem‑solving skills
Proven experience translating test architecture and documentation into V&V plans
Ability to build trust, influence cross‑functional teams, and drive impact across R&D and related functions
A strong passion for software and system testing
Experience working in a regulated environment (medical preferred)
Experience with:
Behaviour Driven Development (BDD) and related test automation tools (e.g. Gherkin)
Requirements Engineering
Test management tools such as TFS / Azure DevOps
Version control systems (Git / GitHub)
Programming skills in C#, C++, or Python
Domain expertise in patient monitoring or medical systems
ISTQB Advanced certification
Fluency in German and English, both written and spoken
Experience in influential or technical leadership is a plus
