Responsibilities:
- Work independently in cross-functional teams to lead the automated test scripting effort on multiple applications
- Work in a scrum environment with daily standups, bi-weekly demos and sprint planning meetings
- Design/execute Test Cases and ensure adequate Functional/code coverage
- Document and maintain record of software verification as per standards given by Illumina's Global Quality Organization.
- Work collaboratively with Test engineers and developers to build a maintainable Test Automation.
- Work with software developers, scientists and domain experts in understanding requirements of the software and translating test cases into automated test scripts
- Collaborate with peers to identify opportunities for process improvement
Requirements:
- 0-2 years of experience in Test Planning, Test Designing and Test Execution.
- Experience or knowledge of different phase and level of software testing (Unit Testing, Functional Testing, Integration Testing and System Testing)
- Good understanding about Agile software development process and Software Test Life Cycle process..
- Fluent in SQL on any RDBMS (MS SQL, Oracle, MySQL).
- Good knowledge of at least one Test Automation tool.(Cypress, Selnium, or Ranorex)
- Experience with Client side Test Automation tool like Cypress
- Experience with Server side API Test Automation tool
- Good verbal and written communication and troubleshooting skills
- Basic understanding of biology/genetics/NGS preferred, but not required
- Working experience with object-oriented programming (such as C#,Java).
- Good to have ISTQB Certification for Software Testers.
- Open to work with some overlap with PST Time zone.

Position Summary:
Debugs software products through the use of systematic tests to develop, apply and maintain quality standards for firm products. Develops, modifies and executes software test plans, automated scripts and programs for testing. Analyzes and writes test standards and procedures. Maintains documentation of test results to assist in debugging and modification of software. Analyzes test results to ensure existing functionality and recommends corrective action. Consults with development engineers in resolution of problems. Provides feedback in preparation of technical appraisals of programming languages, systems and computation software. Ensures quality computer integration into the overall functions of scientific computation, data acquisition and processing.
