Job Summary

To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we’re looking to add a Software Test Development Engineer located in Guadalajara, North Campus.

Reporting to the Operations Engineering Manager, the Software Test Development Engineer role involves responsibilities for architecting, developing, and implementing software aspects of the test development process with a focus on product protocols, interfacing with hardware, equipment drivers, diagnostics, and data collection/data management.

What a typical day looks like:

• Work with the customer and design team to understand product test requirements.
• Ability to interpret product specifications and documentation relating to functionality.
• Understanding of manufacturing processes and tools.
• Evaluate different product interfaces and operating systems.
• Understand the software architecture of the product.
• Understand standard communication protocols.
• Develop product-specific diagnostics.
• Understand the interaction between software / Hardware / Fixturing / Test environment.
• Work closely with Design Engineers to understand product functionality.
• Understand Flex standard test automation frameworks.
• Support integration with shop floor control systems.
• Be aware of all the latest software technologies.

The experience we’re looking to add to our team:

• BA/BS degree.

• Experience in similar position in electronic manufacturing environment.

• Advanced English communication skills (verbal and Written).

• Experience in developing product-specific diagnostics.

• Understand the interaction between software / Hardware / Fixturing / Test environment.

• Knowledge in Python, Java, .net, C++

• Equipment integration & innovation

• Ability in mechanical automation systems.

• Experience in TCP protocol.

• Programming with control systems

• Ability with software development tools

• Site support in automation Technical requirements.

• Previous experience on implementing standard solutions.

•.net certification is a plus!
