About the Role:
As a Software Test Automation Engineer, you will perform a wider range of testing tasks with greater autonomy. You will help design test cases, execute them, and report on their effectiveness. Your contributions will directly impact our ability to deliver high-quality software solutions, making you an invaluable team member in our quality assurance efforts.
Responsibilities:
• Design and implement automated test cases based on software requirements.
• Execute and analyze automated test results, logging defects as necessary.
• Collaborate with developers and QA team members to refine testing strategies.
• Maintain and update existing test scripts for improved accuracy and coverage.
• Assist in integrating automated tests into the CI/CD pipeline.
• Participate in test case reviews and provide constructive feedback.
• Conduct basic performance and load testing activities.
• Support troubleshooting and resolution of automation issues.
• Contribute to the development and maintenance of test plans and test cases.
• Provide input on improving test automation frameworks and tools.
Skills:
• Intermediate Programming: Proficient in programming languages like Java or Python.
• Test Automation Frameworks: Knowledgeable in frameworks such as Selenium, TestNG, or JUnit.
• CI/CD Integration: Understanding of integrating tests into CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins).
• Performance Testing: Basic skills in conducting performance tests.
• Defect Management: Effective use of bug tracking and management tools (e.g., JIRA).
• Analytical Thinking: Strong ability to analyze and interpret test results.
• Communication: Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Team Collaboration: Proven ability to work well in team settings.
Level criteria T2 (for internal use only):
• Requires working knowledge and expanded conceptual knowledge in primary technical job family and broadens capabilities; has worked with and is proficient with current technologies
