Software Technologist I – Automation Testing
Responsibilities:
Develop, review, and execute test cases, ensuring traceability to requirements.
Own the completeness and accuracy of all test documentation.
Review test artifacts created by other team members for quality and compliance.
Adhere to the verification strategy for products/subsystems.
Participate in reviews of engineering deliverables (e.g., requirements, use cases, risk mitigations).
Provide input for estimation, planning, resource identification, and risk management related to testing.
Create test designs to ensure maximum coverage and effectiveness.
Automate test cases and strive to achieve committed automation coverage goals.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely and high-quality releases.
You're the right fit if:
BE/B.Tech/ME/M Tech in Computer Science or related field.
Experience: 6–10 years in software testing, including test strategy, test automation, and manual testing.
Automation Expertise:
Strong experience in Java automation using Selenium.
Hands-on experience with BDD frameworks (development and maintenance).
Proficiency in web service automation testing (REST/SOAP).
Test Design & Execution:
Ability to define and execute test cases for functional, performance, reliability, and scalability testing.
Skilled in log analysis and identifying problem areas to accelerate defect resolution.
Collaboration:
Ability to work closely with development teams for early defect detection and resolution.
Technical Knowledge:
Good understanding of IT infrastructure, virtualization, and networking concepts.
Familiarity with cloud technologies, test automation, and continuous testing/integration/deployment.
Knowledge of CI/CD pipeline techniques and tools.
Reporting & Documentation:
Ability to generate test reports compliant with quality management systems.
Strong understanding of defect management processes and tools (e.g., JIRA, ALM).
Additional Skills:
Experience with AWS, JMeter, Postgres, AngularJS is a plus.
Familiarity with SAFE Agile methodology.
Soft Skills:
Fast learner, adaptable to new technologies and methodologies.
Strong communication and analytical skills.
