Our IPC branch (ex-Aselta Nanographics) based in Grenoble city center is composed of 45 people and provides advanced software solutions for metrology, which is the science of making precise measurements on images from electronic microscopes.
We are recruiting our future Software Teams Manager, to manage and develop the Developer’s team, composed of 29 people (both Applied materials employees and consultants)
Your main missions :

Manage multiple and autonomous developer teams, relying much on auto-organization.

Manage and coach two team leaders, who are also members of the development team.

Manage, oversee, evaluate and recruit new consultants with our designated partners.

Oversee the global software architecture and delivery process, and how its evolution reinforces our ability to release fast, independently, with highest level of quality

Oversee the evolution of the technical stack with developers, and its agenda.

Manage and explain with pedagogy in heterogenous contexts, the specific constraints and processes related to software development.

Favor and strengthen the collaboration of the software development team with the “Algo-R&D” team and the “application & customer support” team.

Manage and oversee a transverse QA team with its specific missions.

Manage and strengthen the work of developers/QA who are half-time Product Owners.

Conduct global initiatives to reduce technical dept and size of the legacy codebase.

Favor the development of DevOps activities made by a transverse team.
Your profile :

You have an extensive knowledge of software development in various contexts.

You have some experience of the management of software development teams.
-
You have some experience of a big international company, preferably high tech
-
You are autonomous
-
Your level of English allows you to understand documentation and to interact (oral and written) with colleagues abroad.

You have some experience in a Java environment and related technologies
-
Experience in semiconductors would be a plus.
You work on a daytime status “Cadre au forfait”.
Technical environnement :

Java 11 & Kotlin + Maven, with Swing for the legacy codebase.

SpringBoot & ReactJS for the fullstack part.

IntelliJ IDEA + GitHub Copilot, GitLab, Docker, Linux (in a VDI).

The R&D works with Python & PyCharm + DataSpell.

auto-organisation & Pair/Mob programming for the agile/XP context.
