Job Description
As a Software Systems Engineer, you will design, develop, and support high-quality MES and IIoT solutions that improve manufacturing operations. You will work as part of a global, cross-functional Agile team focused on delivering Industry 4.0 solutions and maintaining critical business systems. You will report to the Engineering Manager and work in a hybrid model based in Katowice, Poland.
Your Responsibilities:- Develop, maintain, and support manufacturing business systems to ensure high performance and reliability
- Support system deployments and continuously improve IIoT/Industry 4.0 solutions for smart connected operations
- Troubleshoot and resolve application, system, and infrastructure issues, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations
- Implement and enhance DevOps processes, including automation of deployments and testing
- Collaborate with product owners, business analysts, and global teams to design, develop, test, and integrate solutions
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience)
- At least 3 years of experience in software development or Industry 4.0 solution development and implementation
- Experience with programming in Python, Java, or a similar language
- Experience in preparing work estimates, including assumptions, constraints, and dependencies
- Experience in creating and executing unit tests and automated tests
- Willingness to learn and adopt new technologies on the job
- Experience in designing, developing, and coordinating application development focused on Digital Manufacturing solutions (e.g., Digital Twin, Optimization)
- Experience with AI/ML technologies such as LLMs, Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), Scikit-learn, or similar
- Experience working in Industry 4.0 or smart manufacturing environments
