• Design and develop Fault Management Solutions using the Netexpert VSM application.
• Develop alarming on new types of network devices modify rule set implementations, and supporting upgrades to existing device types in the network.
• Utilize programming skills to build (code) and test new alarm functionality per technical specifications.
• Develop application support documentation as required by the network application support team.
• Build and unit test production deployment packages and implementation plans for scheduled systems enhancements.
Qualifications• 5 or more years experience in the telephony industry, preferably with wireless carriers.
• 5 or more years experience with the UNIX operating system, preferably on SUN platforms using Korn-shell, AWK, SED, and common system functions.
• 5 or more years of professional software development (C, C++, Java, JavaScript, Perl, etc),
• 5 or more years of experience with Oracle, MySQL, DB2 or other RDBMS with strong knowledge of SQL, procedural SQL extensions (ex. PL/SQL), HTML, UNIX Shell Scripting, SDE/Oracle data relation and Oracle tuning tools.
• 3 or more years of experience with NetExpert VSM Rule Development is preferred.
• 3 or more years of experience with NetExpert VSM System Administration is preferred. Advanced knowledge and understanding of fault management protocols like SNMP.
• Advanced knowledge and understanding of the contents of messaging and communication protocols like JMS, CORBA, XML, HTTP/SOAP.
