At Accruent, we’re building technology that enables customers to make smarter, faster, data-driven decisions.
Position Overview
Great strategy requires flawless, data-backed execution. We are seeking a Strategic Pricing Analyst to be the analytical engine and tactical powerhouse driving our corporate monetization programs forward. Reporting directly to the General Manager, and working in lockstep with our Senior Pricing Specialist, you will support a shared services function that services multiple business units, GMs, and go-to-market teams across the company. You will embed yourself with Product Managers (PdM) and Product Marketing Managers (PMM) across various product lines to translate high-level pricing strategy into clear, sellable product packages and Good-Better-Best tiering structures.
Crucially, you will act as the operational support engine helping to execute our portfolio consolidation strategy—helping to model, document, and transition separate, standalone product-line pricing into unified, easy-to-buy platform solutions.
This is not an order-taking position. We need a high-urgency, proactive analyst who does not wait for work to arrive, but springs forward to unearth optimization opportunities within Salesforce/CPQ data, model complex financial scenarios, and execute competitive intelligence sweeps. If you are analytical, collaborative, and hungry to influence how multiple product lines scale, your journey starts here.
What You’ll Do
- Portfolio Consolidation Operational Support: Partner with the Senior Specialist and various Product Management teams to support the structural migration of separate product lines into single, consolidated market offerings. Help map existing product pricing logic into unified platform constructs.
- Packaging Execution & Commercialization: Partner with Pricing, Product, and Product Marketing across the organization to bring packaging decisions to market. Translate pricing strategies into distinct package structures, defined value metrics, and practical customer-facing constructs. Identify gaps between design and live execution to ensure packaging is sellable and consistent.
- Pricing Modeling & Scenario Analysis: Build and maintain sophisticated pricing models to support new platform packaging decisions, standalone price changes, and consumption/usage-based structures. Run scenario analyses (simulating margin, discounting, migration impact, and customer adoption) to provide data-backed recommendations for executive decision-making.
- Pricing Insights & Performance Analytics: Develop repeatable insights across discounting patterns, price realization, and margin performance. Translate Salesforce and CPQ data into clear findings, building lightweight dashboards to give ongoing visibility into SKU performance, unified platform adoption, and legacy revenue leakage.
- Cross-Functional Translation & Value Research: Act as the strategic operational bridge between technical product teams and go-to-market teams company-wide. Partner with Product Managers to research customer willingness-to-pay and discover optimal value metrics for consolidated offerings and new feature launches.
- Pricing Governance Support: Support the active monitoring of commercial compliance. Track discounting behavior, pricing policy adherence, and packaging consistency across product lines to catch anomalies early and recommend corrective adjustments.
- SKU Lifecycle & Migration Management: Proactively manage the operational lifecycle and documentation of all new and legacy SKUs. Own the data mapping that ensures clean operational migration paths for legacy customers as they shift from point-product pricing to new consolidated platform tier structures.
What Success Looks Like
- Analytical Precision: Flawless financial modeling and data synthesis that gives Product Managers and GMs complete confidence during feature monetization and platform consolidation rollouts.
- Commercialization Velocity: A smooth operational transition from abstract portfolio strategy into practical, sellable, and scalable consolidated SKU architectures in Salesforce/CPQ.
- Proactive Insight Generation: Consistently identifying migration impacts, revenue leakage, discounting anomalies, or legacy SKU optimization areas before they become broader issues.
- Operational Adherence: High visibility into pricing policy adherence through lightweight, clean performance reporting and dashboards.
- Team Synergy: Operating as a seamless tactical engine in absolute lockstep with the Senior Pricing Specialist to move broad corporate platform initiatives forward.
What You Bring
- Analytical Background: 2–4 years of experience as a Pricing Analyst, Financial Analyst, Sales Ops Analyst, or similar quantitative role within a B2B SaaS environment.
- Advanced Excel Capabilities: Expert-level financial modeling skills with a demonstrated ability to manipulate massive datasets, run scenario analyses, and build predictive margin/migration impact structures.
- Data Fluency: Strong proficiency extracting, analyzing, and synthesizing historical performance data from Salesforce and modern CPQ tools.
- High Urgency Profile: A self-starter mentality characterized by extreme proactivity, curiosity, and an innate drive to move projects forward without waiting for permission.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Finance, Mathematics, Business, or a related quantitative field.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with BI and data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, PowerBI).
- Experience or strong familiarity with product bundling, packaging transitions, or multi-to-single SKU portfolio migrations.
- Excellent cross-functional communication skills, with an ability to translate complex data into simple findings for Product and Sales leaders.
- Experience in multi-product environments with complex software-plus-services configurations.
