Job Description
Sutherland is seeking an attentive and goal-oriented person to join us as a Solution Architect for the NICE Actimize program who can translate the underlying technical details of customer requirements to the functional level with the help of his technical expertise and proprietary products available at NICE Actimize.
Responsibilities:
- Perform hardware sizing and system performance analysis.
- Support all client non-function requirements like hardware sizing, low-level design, solution consulting, and implementation feasibility on projects and monitor client reviews, testing, production deployment, and related deliverables.
- Advise on estimations, project plans, scoping documents, and other required project documentation.
- Contribute to delivery work plan and assess technical risks and required resources.
- Present solutions to customers in post-scale role, creating credibility for the Professional Services Group.
- Provide technical leadership in client implementation projects.
- Solve complex implementation and performance problems and manage client expectations.
- Advise on enterprise-level architecture and all key technical decisions for strategic and major clients and complex projects
- Design, develop, and own technology solutions with complex features and functionality.
- Ensure seamless implementation of software systems infrastructure and framework.
- Work with implementation teams and the customer’s business and IT teams to review and document the on-site architecture of the solutions
- Review and document requirements for implementation.
- Site set-up preparation requirements and guidelines for deployment.
- Help in troubleshooting customer issues during implementation, user acceptance testing, production, and post-production.
- Act as Subject Matter Expert and point of escalation for high and low-level design problems both on the company and client sides.
- Document standard architecture deliverables, best practices, performance guides, and tools to be used by professional services team in various projects.
- Create standard architecture documents.
- Communicate with customers and with internal Product Management and R&D teams.
- Collaborate with Product Management on defining new product features.
- Review technical feedback with Sales and Research & Development teams.
- Work with the rest of the professional services teams and staff to deliver high-quality, results-based customer experience across all customer engagements.
- Set architecture standards and design patterns to be used by the architecture team.
- Lead the architecture function, and secure active participation and strong advocacy from the business and IT communities, customers, suppliers, and industry bodies.
Qualifications
- Five (5) years of progressively responsible post-baccalaureate work experience in the job offered, as a Software Engineer, IT Analyst, or related occupation.
- Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
- software integration solutions design;
- customer presentation and technical writing;
- design, implementation, and tuning of high-volume enterprise applications;
- Software programming (SQL and Java);
- web-based applications/architecture using various frameworks and technologies (Java or J2ee);
- database systems (Oracle and SQL Server);
- Infrastructure planning and design;
- Analyzing and resolving performance and scalability issues;
- Designing for high availability including load balancing and disaster recovery;
- Financial services;
- three (3) of the following web & application servers (Tomcat, Websphere, Weblogic, or JBoss);
- IT, data, and networking security (Single Sign On and SSL or TLS); and hardware capacity sizing.
