The Role
Kodiak Robotics, Inc. was founded in 2018 and is a leading provider of AI-powered autonomous vehicle technology committed to a safer and more efficient future for all. The company is developing an artificial intelligence (AI) powered technology stack for driverless commercial trucking applications. Kodiak’s unique modular hardware approach integrates sensors into a streamlined sensor-pod structure that is purpose-built for perception, scalability, and maintainability. The company autonomously delivers freight daily for its commercial customers across the Sun Belt states and for Atlas Energy in the Permian Basin. Kodiak also leverages its commercial self-driving software to develop, test and deploy autonomous capabilities for the U.S. Department of Defense.
We are looking for a Software Quality Triage Specialist to join our rapidly growing Software Quality team.
In this role, you will:
- Learn to know the Kodiak Driver better than almost anyone else
- Study and assess performance results of our autonomous trucks
- Perform root cause analysis efficiently with high quality and minimal oversight
- Identify and categorize failure modes of our system, file bugs, and track them through to resolution
- Generate reports of overall performance to share with the team
- Collaborate with operations and engineering teams to improve workflows and processes
- Perform quality assurance on our labels to train and improve our algorithms
We are looking for someone who:
- Has experience in a triage-specific software quality role in the AV industry
- Takes ownership and drives the team to deliver exceptional results
- Proven ability to get to the bottom of things
- Is a critical thinker with strong root cause analysis skills
- Has the ability to quickly learn and implement new concepts
- Is curious by nature, willing to investigate with diligence and understand the cause of unexpected events
- Is a great communicator, that has experience writing clear, concise, and detailed documentation

The salary range for this full-time position is $118,000-$130,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. We can share more about the specific salary range for your job level during the hiring process. Please note that the compensation details listed above are base salary only and do not include bonus, equity, or benefits.
