Software Quality Engineer (Bangalore)

Our Software Quality Engineering team ensures that our next-generation software is of the highest quality. We conduct a wide range of quality control tests and analyses to ensure that our software meets or exceeds end-user requirements. We debug software products, oversee the development of test plans, ensure system tests are documented, analyze the results, provide feedback to developers and make sure that all problems are resolved. We also select testing specifications for new products and ensure testing procedures comply with industry-specific standards.

What you’ll achieve

As a Software Quality Senior Engineer, you will be responsible for testing sophisticated systems and software based on the customer’s business goals, needs and general business environment. You will work with product management, other engineering teams, customer success and support on testing new product features and enhancements across various areas of Boomi offerings.

You will:

• Be a key member of an Agile team, collaboratively realizing features through the Software development lifecycle.

• Work independently with minimal guidance from technical leadership.

• Collaborate with other quality engineers including design and test reviews.

• Gather information to help formulate acceptance criteria, be a user advocate, and be comfortable challenging and discussing the intent of stories to surface edge cases and improve outcomes.

• Apply development and technical skills to all aspects of QA, including manual and automated functional and integration tests and the setup of production-like environments.

• Mentor Junior Testers in the team and help them grow their skills and deliver

Essential Requirements

• • 3 to 5 Years of overall experience.

• Design, develop, execute & maintain automated test cases and test scripts.

• Develop automated tests using JAVA (Selenium) & TestNG. Design efficient & reusable scripts in Selenium to be used across automated tests.

• Develop automated tests using ReST API frameworks such as RestAssured, Jersey, ReadyAPI, etc. Design efficient & reusable scripts to be used across automated tests.

• Knowledgeable about the developments happening in the world of Generative AI technologies, LLMs, AI Agents.

• Hands-on experience in Test Automation using Selenium WebDriver & Grid.

• Hands-on experience in testing Web Services/ API's (REST, SOAP, and WSDL) & respective automation.

• Review test cases and procedures to ensure coverage of and conformance to business requirements.

• Execute testing as required & according to test plan and project goals. Communicate testing progress and results in a timely and accurate manner.

• Review and continually improve quality assurance practices, including creation and update of documentation related to quality assurance processes and guidelines.

• ● Provide impact analysis and regression testing of software changes.

• ● Knowledge in Defect Lifecycle and Defect Management tools like JIRA, Zephyr, HP ALM, etc.

Desirable Requirements

• Background in Computer Science with good expertise of OOPS concepts & programming in Java.

• Experience with IDE such as IntelliJ/Eclipse & source control systems & continuous integration tools such as GIT, bitbucket, etc.

• Familiarity with highly scalable, high throughput web applications and backend systems.

• Familiarity with SQL queries, relational database systems, and ORM tools like Hibernate.

• Familiarity using AWS technologies and products.
