Where You Come In:
We are currently seeking a Software Quality Assurance Manager to join our growing team! At KCF, the Software Quality Assurance Manager oversees global QA teams to ensure they meet project goals while developing and implementing effective QA strategies for our Machine Health SaaS platform, Smart Diagnostics. This will help us achieve our goal of zero waste, zero downtime, and zero safety incidents for all of industry.
Location:
This role can be 100% remote-based. Our ideal candidate will work in Eastern Standard Time to ensure the most overlap with our global team. With our Work From Home, Work From Anywhere model, KCF employees are spread across 27 different U.S. states. We advocate for owning your work - you define how you do it and where you do it.

Essential Responsibilities
- Oversee and Coordinate Global QA Teams: Manage daily operations of global QA teams, ensuring they meet project goals and timelines.
- Develop and Implement QA Strategies: Establish QA processes and strategies to deliver high-quality software and hardware products within the enterprise SaaS and IoT space.
- Establish Testing Standards: Collaborate with QA teams to define testing methodologies, standards, and best practices.
- Liaise Between Teams: Act as the primary communication bridge between project teams and QA resources, ensuring alignment on requirements and expectations.
- Facilitate Effective Communication: Ensure clear understanding of project goals, testing objectives, and deliverables through strong communication with all stakeholders.
- Monitor and Track Testing Progress: Utilize tools like JIRA to oversee test execution, track defect resolutions, and monitor overall QA progress.
- Drive Test Automation Efficiency: Lead the strategy for functional test automation to enhance QA effectiveness and deliver measurable improvements.
- Report on Testing Outcomes: Generate comprehensive reports that outline testing results and provide insights into product quality.
- Optimize QA Processes: Identify areas for improvement within the QA processes and implement initiatives to boost testing efficiency.
- Risk Identification and Resolution: Proactively identify risks in the testing process, escalate issues to stakeholders, and recommend corrective actions.
- Maintain QA Documentation: Ensure QA documentation, including test plans, test cases, and test results, are kept up-to-date and properly maintained.
- Collaborate Across Teams: Partner with development, product, and operations teams to ensure QA activities align with project objectives, timelines, and customer needs.
Qualifications
- Experience: 7+ years of experience in Software Quality Assurance, with at least 3 years in a managerial or coordination role overseeing global teams.
- Technical Expertise: In-depth knowledge of QA methodologies and software testing life cycles. Should understand modern SaaS software architecture (cloud and microservices) and associated best practices (CI/CD, DevOps, etc.).
- Automation Skills: Familiarity with automation frameworks such and Cucumber and BrowserStack and strategies for enhancing test efficiency and robustness.
- Testing Proficiencies: Experience with testing of web applications, mobile applications, and back-end REST APIs, including performance, data integrity, and security.
- Specialized Testing: Experience in data analytics testing, particularly with machine learning models and performance metrics. Experience testing hardware and firmware in the IoT space.
- Tooling: Experience using tools such as Azure DevOps, JIRA, and Confluence to manage bugs, test plans, and test cases.
- Global Team Management: Proven ability to coordinate testing activities across multiple time zones and manage resources to meet deadlines.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with remote teams and cross-functional stakeholders.
- Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to identify issues and drive resolutions in remote teams.
- Agile Methodology: Solid understanding of Agile development processes and experience working in Scrum environments.
- Detail-Oriented: Exceptional attention to detail to ensure the delivery of high-quality software and hardware products.
- Cross-Cultural Management: Experience working with global teams from different cultural backgrounds and adapting to diverse work environments.
