We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Software Quality Assurance (SQA) Engineer to ensure the quality, reliability, and performance of our enterprise applications, web portals, mobile applications, ERP customizations, and system integrations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing test scenarios, executing test cases, identifying defects, and collaborating closely with developers and business users to deliver high-quality software solutions.
Responsibilities- Analyze business requirements, functional specifications, and technical documentation.
- Prepare comprehensive test plans, test cases, test scenarios, and test scripts.
- Execute functional, regression, integration, system, and user acceptance testing (UAT).
- Validate software releases prior to deployment to production environments.
- Identify, document, track, and report software defects.
- Coordinate with development teams to ensure timely resolution of issues.
- Perform re-testing and verification of resolved defects.
- Maintain defect logs, test evidence, and testing reports.
- Test ERP customizations, workflows, reports, dashboards, and system integrations.
- Validate data accuracy and consistency across integrated systems.
- Test REST APIs and web services using tools such as Postman.
- Perform backend data validation using SQL queries.
- Verify data integrity across applications and databases.
- Prepare test execution reports and quality status updates.
- Assist in the preparation of UAT documentation and user guides.
- Participate in requirement review meetings and project discussions.
- Recommend improvements to testing processes and quality standards.
- Contribute to software testing best practices and continuous improvement initiatives.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
3–4 years of experience in Software Quality Assurance.
Proven experience testing web applications and enterprise software solutions.
Strong experience in manual testing, including functional, regression, integration, and system testing.
Hands-on experience writing test cases, test scenarios, and test scripts.
Experience with defect tracking, bug reporting, and issue resolution processes.
Proficiency in API testing using Postman or similar tools.
Strong SQL query writing skills and experience validating backend databases.
Experience supporting User Acceptance Testing (UAT) activities.
Experience testing ERP systems, workflows, reports, dashboards, and integrations is preferred.
Experience testing mobile applications (Android and iOS) is an advantage.
Knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies and Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
Familiarity with automation testing tools such as Selenium, Cypress, or Playwright is a plus.
Experience validating reports, dashboards, and business intelligence solutions is desirable.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Strong attention to detail and documentation abilities.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
