The Quality Assurance Manager (QAM) will spearhead a dynamic and expanding team of Quality Analysts, Engineers, and Testers within a leading Health and Wellness sector enterprise. As a key strategic partner and trusted advisor, the QAM will collaborate closely with the client, reporting to senior Testlio leadership and the primary client stakeholder. The QAM will lead a fully remote team while conducting client office visits and in-person meetings to present strategy and review KPIs against client business objectives. Strong experience designing and architecting data-driven reports that provide actionable insights for client-facing communications is highly desirable.

The QAM will leverage deep expertise in agile methodologies to design and implement comprehensive quality strategies, including Quality Assurance, Quality Engineering, and Accessibility services. Hands-on experience with automation, especially in Playwright, Selenium, and Appium, is required, as the QAM will advise on the design and evolution of automation and CI/CD pipelines.

The team managed by the QAM will support multiple product teams, workstreams, and stakeholders with competing priorities and unique SDLCs. Therefore, exceptional project management skills are essential, as the QAM will ensure the status of initiatives is communicated effectively to internal and external stakeholders.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Own the overall Quality strategy across the client’s organization
  • Lead and mentor a team of Quality Engineers, Quality Analysts, and Testers.
  • Participate in the interview process and act as Hiring Manager for various QA roles on the team.
  • Ensure efficient and fluent onboarding to Testlio and set team members up for success.
  • Provide professional support, guidance, and coaching within your team, including motivating, challenging, energizing, and empowering team members.
  • Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous learning that leads to increased skills and capabilities around continuous testing, DevOps, and strategic consulting.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with client stakeholders by understanding their quality needs, addressing inquiries, and providing ongoing support and guidance.
  • Create & implement quality engineering strategies aligned with Testlio’s recommended practices.
  • Use your extensive automation experience to challenge, recommend, and partner with our client to drive exceptional automated testing results. 
  • Ensure test automation standards and processes are aligned with client expectations and followed across QE teams.
  • Determine automated test script quality improvement factors and evaluate ongoing script reliability.
  • Collect, analyze, and quantify data to produce clear and insightful reports.
  • Manage ambiguity and guide the team by establishing clear priorities and timelines.
  • Travel to the client's site in Austin, Texas, at least monthly.

What do you need to succeed?

Technical Skills

  • At least 8 years of experience in technology consulting, including developing test automation solutions.
  • Minimum 4 years of quality engineering team management experience.
  • 3+ years of professional experience in end-to-end test automation of native and web applications.
  • 3+ years of professional experience working with agile teams.
  • 1+ years of professional experience in integrating automation solutions with DevOps pipelines.
  • Experience with test frameworks Playwright, Selenium, and Appium.
  • Prior knowledge in test automation, automated testing, and CI/CD (Github, Jenkins, etc.).
  • Ability to analyze problems, identify practical solutions, and strategically implement them.
  • Continuous proactive learning in Software Testing, Quality Assurance, (mobile) technology domain, and leadership/management.
  • Knowledge of unit testing, API testing, and integration testing.

Human Skills

  • At least 5+ years of experience in team leadership/management - a great team player with demonstrated collaboration and leadership skills. 
  • Ability to analyze problems, identify practical solutions, and strategically implement them.
  • Continuous proactive learning in Software Testing, Quality Assurance, (mobile) technology domain, and leadership/management.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and influencing ability to win the confidence of individuals at all levels, both inside and outside the organization.
  • Strong time management, problem-solving, task delegation, and prioritization capabilities.
  • Ability to collaborate cross-functionally and build solid and productive relationships to perform effectively.
  • Socially open-minded, expressing empathy and consideration for cultural differences.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and in an environment of constant change.
  • Flexibility in work hours to support cross-region teams.
  • Experience in supporting AI-based project testing is a plus.
