As a Functional Tester, you will play a key role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our software products. You will collaborate closely with the QA team to analyze and interpret requirements, derive relevant test scenarios, and execute comprehensive test cases.
This is an external contractor role, and the engagement is structured around specific project requirements. There may be opportunities for continued work through other projects or an extension, depending on organizational priorities.

Responsibilities- Analyze provided requirements and specifications
- Define appropriate test plan and test strategy
- Plan, estimate and prioritize testing activities
- Create comprehensive test scenarios, test cases and test data
- Create comprehensive proof of tests
- Identify, record, and document defects accurately and correctly
- Track reported defects and discuss and collaborate with the engineering and product team
- Perform UI, sanity, functional, regression, component, and end-to-end testing
- Track and provide an accurate status report of all testing activities
Technical Requirements
- 5+ years experience in Software Testing
- Experienced in using Azure DevOps for managing test plans, executing tests and generating test reports
- Proven experience in testing web and mobile applications, and/or kiosk-based systems.
- Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools and processes
- Hands-on experience in: Requirements analysis, Test planning, Test case detailing and Defect tracking
- Strong experience in defect reporting, tracking and management
- Experience working with database operations and API calls
- Able to quickly learn custom development frameworks and new technologies
- Able to work effectively with continuous change requirements and short deadlines under minimum supervision
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams
- Ability to perform well in a fast-paced environment
Applicants for this role must be amenable to the following:
- Using their own device and maintaining a reliable high-speed internet connection (minimum of 25 Mbps)
- Working within a dedicated schedule from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM (Manila Time)
- Being available for scheduled and ad-hoc calls, meetings, and chats during weekday working hours
- Having access to a quiet, professional workspace suitable for video meetings and calls
- Using dual monitors (preferred but not required, if available)
- Being available to start immediately
- Acknowledging that all work and outputs will be covered by a standard Confidentiality and Non-Disclosure Agreement, as well as an Intellectual Property Assignment Agreement, to protect both company and client information
