Position Overview:
In this technical role, you will be part of the Converge Engineering team. You and the broader engineering team will work side by side creating intelligent front-end and backend test frameworks that scale to assure the quality our ever evolving Converge Unity platform.
Responsibilities:
- Pair program with a small nimble team of developers
- Work with the Lead QA Engineer and Head of Engineering on the overall technical SQA strategy
- As part of an agile 3 week sprint development process, you will take specs and transform them into test plans and lean Jira tasks, as well as efficient, production ready code
- Explore new test frameworks, methodologies and their applicability to the Converge Unity platform
- Create automated tests for our GraphQL API queries and mutations
- Create automated tests for our on demand data collection and ETL Airflow jobs
- Create automated tests using Playwright for our React front-end
- Create test reports via QA Touch
- Create data anomaly detection libraries
- Query our GraphDB using the Cypher query language
- Continuously test microservices via CI / CD
- Refactor and maintain Python codebase
- Work with different team members and stakeholders representing all areas of the business
- Regularly prepare and present content to stakeholders within Converge
- Assist with platform development more broadly when required
Qualifications:
- 3+ years of SQA
- 3+ years professional experience in Python development
- 2+ years professional experience testing React front-ends using Playwright
- BS in Computer Science or relevant field
- Proficient understanding of version control best practices using Git
- Proficiency with feature stores, Graph databases, SQL, NoSQL, Data Lakes and other data storage technologies
- Experienced in creating microservices using Docker containers
Education
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
Physical Requirements
Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Ability to lift up to 15 pounds occasionally. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions.
Compensation & Benefits
Pay Range: $4,000 – $7,200 monthly (commensurate with experience and location).
