We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced QA Engineer to join our growing software quality assurance team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the delivery of high-quality software products through comprehensive testing of web applications, databases, and APIs. You will collaborate closely with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders throughout the development lifecycle. Your primary focus will be on designing, executing, and improving testing strategies that ensure software stability, reliability, and performance.
Responsibilities
● Plan, develop, and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts for web applications, APIs and backend systems.
● Perform functional, regression, integration, and API testing to identify software defects and ensure quality releases.
● Validate database integrity, data flows, and backend logic using SQL or equivalent query languages.
● Collaborate with developers and product owners to understand requirements and provide feedback on testability and quality risk.
● Document defects clearly and track them to resolution using bug tracking tools (e.g., Azure DevOps, Jira or similar).
● Experience working in waterfall and agile projects.
● Continuously improve test coverage, quality metrics, and QA workflows.
● Experience with test automation frameworks and tools such as Selenium, Cypress, or similar for web application automation.
● Familiarity with automation in CI/CD pipelines and test integration with tools like Jenkins, Azure Pipelines or similar.
● Performance testing using tools like Jmeter.
● 5+ years of professional QA experience in software testing, including hands-on testing of web applications, APIs, and databases.
● Proven ability to plan and execute detailed test strategies and test cases.
● Strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies.
● Experience with bug tracking and test management tools (e.g., Azure, Jira, TestRail).
● SQL/database testing skills.
● Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
● Fluency in English (written and spoken) preferred for cross-functional collaboration.
Education● Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field — or equivalent professional experience.
