Software Project Manager (Installations) – Nordic Region
Shape the future of cancer care technology across the Nordics
We’re looking for a high‑calibre Software Project Manager with strong technical aptitude in server infrastructure, networking, and healthcare IT systems to join our Nordic team. If you’re energised by complex technical challenges, customer collaboration, and work that directly improves clinical workflows in cancer care, this role offers the perfect blend of impact and innovation.
In this highly visible, customer‑facing position, you will take full ownership of end‑to‑end software installation projects—from Sales Order through to final clinical acceptance. You’ll work on enterprise‑scale healthcare IT systems, Treatment Planning Software (TPS), and system integrations that require precise coordination between clinical, technical, and infrastructure teams.
Travel across the Nordic region is expected at 20–30%, giving you the opportunity to be onsite for key milestones and build strong customer relationships.
What You’ll LeadAct as the primary project partner for customers throughout the entire lifecycle
Conduct onsite readiness visits to assess IT infrastructure, facility preparation, and installation feasibility
Work directly with customer IT departments to ensure:
Server and OS environments meet TPS and system requirements
Network architecture, VLAN segmentation, routing, and security support high system performance
Data storage, backup, cybersecurity, and disaster‑recovery practices meet Varian standards
Provide clear, tailored technical requirements documentation
Review Sales Orders to identify dependencies, risks, and required resources
Drive project timelines, budgets, and cross‑functional coordination
Oversee equipment shipments, readiness checks, and commissioning activities
Guide customers on complex IT and facility‑readiness topics, including safety standards, workflows, and environmental needs
Prepare high‑quality project documentation (risk logs, progress reports, readiness assessments, schedule analytics)
Build deep expertise in Varian’s ecosystem, including TPS and oncology IT workflows
Stay up to date with industry regulations, safety codes, IT best practices, and Varian installation standards
Contribute to continuous improvement by sharing insights and lessons learned across internal teams
Experience in Project Management, Field Service, Healthcare IT, or Engineering
Strong technical foundation in:
Server administration (Windows Server ideal)
Network design, VLANs, firewalls, routing, security frameworks
Client–server architecture and enterprise software deployment
Experience with medical TPS or healthcare IT systems (e.g., PACS, EMR, Oncology systems) is a strong advantage
Confident dealing with clinical, technical, and executive stakeholders
Fluent in a Scandinavian language and English
Proficient in Microsoft Project, Visio, Office, AI tools, and general IT platforms
Experience with ERP systems (e.g., Workday) preferred
Knowledge of Varian software is a significant plus
Strong communication, coordination, and relationship‑building skills
Ideally based in Denmark, but we welcome strong candidates from any Nordic country.
