The team you will be part of
As our new Software Project Manager, you will handle several complex projects across the GN organization globally, working within the Software solution program office with multiple interactions that would be expected in an agile environment. The focus will be on our application software, but with close alignment towards hardware devices and embedded software for our hearing aids, headsets and video bars solutions.
The project life cycle covers from early conception to development and efficiently launching in the market, including market performance and lessons learnt.
You will be instrumental in working with product management and other stakeholders in securing we deliver on customer needs and according to the company strategy. You will collaborate closely and seamlessly across the entire global organization. You will most importantly secure quality, time-to-market, project & product cost, and that we deliver the right solutions meeting customer needs & expectations for the best experience and company business value.
You will work out of office in HQ in Ballerup, Denmark and your direct report will be the Head of Software Management Paul Siddle.
Your contribution is appreciated, and you will
- Manage the project(s) as Epic Owner to bring new software solutions to market and enhance our current solutions
- Plan and design the project response in all its facets and routinely monitor progress, resolve issues, and initiate appropriate corrective action
- Regularly engage and collaborate with subject matter experts and project managers across the project to ensure alignment to the strategic portfolio
- Efficiently track KPIs on product cost & quality, project cost & schedule, and secure timely mitigations if needed
- Facilitate the project(s) through the GN product development cycle, including phase gates, reviews, artefacts and alignment
- Be the key representative for the Epic team for R&D and business reporting and governance structures
To perform well in the role, we imagine that you
- Have the collaboration and communication skills needed to work with teams and work across functions and borders within an international organization and bring people together to find great solutions
- Know how to handle high technical complexity, and you are innovative and quality-focused in your work
- Have solid software delivery experience and have delivered complex software solutions to the market Furthermore, you know how to manage stakeholders effectively
- Experience working with hardware or embedded systems
- BSc.in Engineering or other similar and relevant education
- Several years of experience in managing significant projects/programs
- Have a commercial mindset, understand the customer needs to improve company value
- Solid experience with agile software development methodologies, notably in a SAFe setup
- Are familiar with project management tools, professional qualifications useful eg PMP or similar
- Change management, managing & piloting process improvements implementing through project teams and key experts
- Have a sound understanding of English, both spoken and written
