We are seeking a passionate Software Project Manager (m/f/d) to lead WES/WCS projects from initial design to integration. Our modular AutoStore platform, backed by over 30 years of R&D, ensures seamless host system integration. Our dedicated development team delivers the most reliable and comprehensive AutoStore solutions on the market.
This is a possible entry position for early career. You should be locally close to one of our sites in Neuenstadt, Neuburg a.d. Kammel, Rülzheim or Bellheim in Germany.
Your tasks
Experience
- Experience in IT or software project management (experience level flexible – we value potential and mindset)
- Background in industrial, automation, or logistics environments is a plus
- Exposure to warehouse systems such as WES, WCS, or WMS is an advantage
- Experience working in cross-functional and international teams
- Understanding of software development processes and system integration concepts
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage software projects in the WES domain from initiation to delivery
- Act as a key interface between customers, internal stakeholders, and development teams
- Combine project management with consulting activities by understanding customer needs and translating them into system solutions
- Ensure project success in terms of quality, timeline, and customer satisfaction
- Confidently review and implement changes to key project documentation, including:
- Functional Specifications
- IT Specifications
- Interface Specifications
- Identify optimization potential and contribute to continuous improvement
- Support the development of standards, best practices, and scalable solutions within Kardex
Working Model & Travel
- Approx. 10% travel within Europe (project-related)
- close to a German Kardex office
Your profile
Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a comparable technical field
Strong analytical and conceptual thinking skills
High level of motivation and willingness to learn and grow
Structured, solution-oriented, and hands-on approach
Strong communication skills with fluency in German and English

- Experience with technologies such as C#, HTTP, JavaScript (React), JSON, Node.js, SQL, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, ORM frameworks, GitHub, Azure DevOps, JIRA, and APIs
- Knowledge of AutoStore platform and intralogistics automation
- Additional European language skills
