Job Title: Software Product Owner

Location: Irving, Texas

About the Role:

Join the team at NCR Voyix as a Software Product Owner, where you will play a pivotal role in guiding the development and success of our Payments Processing platform. This strategic position involves prioritizing and managing the work of a dedicated team to ensure the delivery of high-value, functional products that align with our company’s vision and customer needs.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the voice of both internal and external clients, ensuring products meet and exceed customer expectations.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to align the product roadmap with strategic goals and business objectives.
  • Define and maintain the product roadmap, working closely with cross-functional teams to prioritize backlog items such as epics, features, and user stories.
  • Resolve product-related challenges, making informed decisions to keep projects on track toward business deliverables.
  • Utilize data to draft key objectives, strategize, and make informed business decisions.
  • Engage with stakeholders during the product visioning and concept development phases, ensuring alignment and commitment.
  • Take responsibility for the end-to-end delivery and functionality of the product, clearly communicating product needs and progress.
  •  Evaluate and prioritize stories, epics, and themes to focus on features that maximize value and align with the product strategy.
  • Research and analyze industry trends, competitor offerings, and user needs to inform product decisions.
  • Champion Agile practices, focusing on iterative development and continuous improvement.

Qualifications:

  • Proven entrepreneurial and strategic thinking skills.
  • Experience in product management, with a track record of delivering successful products.
  • Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills for building and maintaining relationships with team members and customers.
  • Experience defining minimum marketable features and minimum viable products.
  • Competence in developing and communicating product roadmaps.
  • Exceptional communication, presentation, and leadership skills.
  • Strong organizational, time management, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Attention to detail and active listening skills.
  • Basic understanding of the technologies used in product development.

Required Knowledge and Skills:

  • Familiarity with the financial services payments industry.
  • Experience with Azure or GCP Public Cloud Technologies.
  • Knowledge of SaaS business models.
  • Proficiency with the Atlassian stack, including Jira and Jira Align.
  • Understanding of Agile, Scrum, and Kanban methodologies.
