Job Overview

 

iRely is looking for a Product Manager to join their Commodity, Trade and Risk Management team in Makati, Philippines. This is a hybrid role. You would require to visit Makati office 3 to 4 days a month.

Duties & Responsibilities 

  • Software product development
  • Gather, understand, and document customers' business needs by directly engaging customers, working with implementation teams, Product Managers, or the Business Unit Leader.
  • Absorb and extend existing functional designs or create new ones, depending on project scenario.
  • Create technical designs based on functional designs, including use cases, mockups, process and data flow diagrams, etc.
  • Ensure development team understand project requirements and design, provide estimates of efforts, and create Statement of Work for Business Unit Leader/Product Manager approval.
  • Guide development team to ensure development is completed per requirements, on time, meeting performance benchmarks, and with quality.
  • Collaborate with other Product Managers and Business Unit Leaders to ensure seamless software integration.
  • Create and update product-related documentation and training material promptly. Provide training during new team member onboarding and when new features are delivered.
  • Engage outside business partners for 3rd party integration from a technical perspective.
  • Product quality and support
  • Take ownership of product quality. Identify factors impacting quality and mitigate potential risks.
  • Leverage internal programs to deliver product features with the highest quality.
  • Serve as escalation point or directly engage in customer support issues. Guide development team to deliver resolution per Service Level Agreement.
  • Focus on issue root cause analysis. Provide suggestions on and implement corrective actions to reduce future issues.
  • Continuous improvement
  • Embrace our Continuous Improvement culture in all aspects of product management: feature sets, quality, utilization, competitiveness in the market place, customer success, etc.
  • Collaborate with other teams to achieve customer success throughout sales and go live process, and on an ongoing basis.
  • Maintain focus on reducing support issues. Eliminate product bugs and reduce training-related issues by providing intuitive feature sets.
  • Guide development team to hone in estimation skills to provide more accurate capacity needs.
  • Grow development team to advance their technical and analytic skills.

  • Under the guidance of Business Unit Leader and Product Manager, move the product forward based on company vision and industry trends.
  • Develop a base understanding of pricing and competitive landscape in product offerings in the U.S. market.

Skills & Qualifications 

  • 8-12 years’ experience in Business Analysis and Design
  • 2-4 years’ experience in Product Management
  • Ability to communicate with internal (Developers, QAs and SMEs) and external stakeholders
  • Gather, Analyze and document Business requirements, Specification, Business Processes and Recommendations
  • Demonstrate analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills including technical writing skills
  • Experience in Trading and Risk Management
  • Experience in Manufacturing Risk Management, Trade Finance and Quality Management
  • Experience in MS SQL
  • Experience in managing and working with cross functional teams

Nice to have skills:

  • Exposure to different Asset classes like Energy, Metals, Forex and Agri soft commodities
  • Experience in a programming
  • Experience in ERP system development
  • Knowledge/ Experience in Risk (PnL, Position and Exposure, Valuation, Credit Risk, Market Risk, VaR)
  • Experience in a software product company
