About the Role
We are looking for a bold and customer-obsessed Software Product Manager to shape the future of PerkinElmer’s next-generation Desktop Application ecosystem. You will lead mission-critical initiatives to migrate our global customer base from legacy software to modern, high-performance platforms that power scientific discovery.
What You’ll Own
- Develop and execute the product strategy for desktop applications, with a strong focus on customer upgrades and lifecycle management.
- Build mechanisms to collect and analyse customer configurations, usage patterns, and adoption metrics.
- Define migration pathways that minimize operational disruption for laboratories and accelerate value realization.
- Translate customer needs into detailed requirements, user stories, and product roadmaps.
- Partner closely with engineering, field services, customer support, and regional teams to deliver high-impact releases.
- Measure outcomes using KPIs such as adoption, upgrade velocity, revenue unlock, and customer satisfaction.
- Represent the product externally—evangelize capabilities with customers, partners, and internal stakeholders.
What You Bring
- 8+ years of product management experience delivering software products end-to-end.
- Proven success managing desktop or platform software roles
- Deep experience with release lifecycle, upgrade programs, or customer migration initiatives.
- Strong analytical and data-driven mindset: able to define metrics, test hypotheses, and make decisions at speed.
- Exceptional ability to influence cross-functional teams without authority.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including customer-facing storytelling.
Bonus Points
- Experience with laboratory software, instrument control, healthcare, MedTech, or scientific domains.
- Familiarity with device connectivity, licensing systems, legacy modernization, or enterprise deployments.
- Demonstrated leadership in scaling adoption of complex software products.
