What you’ll achieve

We're scaling our security capabilities in India as part of our Enablers team, and we need an experienced technical lead who can drive security initiatives hands-on. You'll build new security capabilities while maintaining and improving existing systems, working closely with our DevOps and Security architect to execute on the Lightning product security roadmap.

This is a hands-on technical leadership role where you'll own security features and initiatives from design through delivery, collaborating with teams across global teams.

You will:

• Lead security feature development and implementation for the Lightning product. Drive hands-on execution of security initiatives - threat modeling, vulnerability assessments, secure code reviews, and remediation.
• Build and maintain security tooling, automation, and monitoring systems and implement security controls across product and infrastructure layers. Conduct security assessments and drive remediation of identified vulnerabilities. Stay current on emerging security threats and technologies
• Collaborate with engineering teams globally to embed security best practices. Mentor engineers on secure coding practices and security principles. Communicate security risks and recommendations clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders

Essential Requirements

• 9+ years of hands-on experience in security engineering and implementation. Deep expertise in application security, infrastructure security, and secure SDLC practices.
• Strong knowledge of security frameworks, compliance standards, and threat modelling. Experience with security tools for vulnerability scanning, penetration testing, and monitoring.
• Proficiency in C++, C, Python and Shell scripting. Understanding of containerization security, and modern infrastructure. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Experience working in agile/scrum environments. Ability to work effectively across distributed global teams.
• Security certifications (CISSP, CEH, OSCP, or similar). Experience with DevSecOps practices and tooling

Desirable Requirements

• Knowledge of storage or file systems security
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
