As a Software Manager, you will be working with a team of engineers to deliver new technologies to customers by developing high quality effective software features that will be included in handler software release.
You will play an important role in:
- Manage team’s communication related to critical topics (e.g. escalation, complex specifications and design review) and drive the actions with the team to achieve the requirements.
- To ensure close loop communication with Software Quality team.
- Manage the software team towards quality and efficiency.
- To communicate with customer on software issues and follow up as necessary.
- To ensure team establish realistic timeline estimations for tasks and at the same time ensuring they still remain on target to meet deadlines.
- Regularly review and refine coding standards, test automation coverage to drive operational excellence
- Contribute to organizational learning by documenting best practices, conducting postmortems and sharing insights across teams.
- Translate strategic goals into actionable technical roadmaps with measurable outcomes
Any other ad hoc assignment within the scope of main objectives.
To be successful in this role, you need to have:
- Professional Engineering degree and certifications in the related fields of study (computer science, electronics, knowledge on automated systems or equivalent).
- Minimum 8 years of management experience.
- Good statistical and technical writing abilities.
- With continuous improvement mindset.
- Sharp problem-solving skills and self-motivated.
- Hardworking and able to handle projects under high pressure.
- A strong team player.
- Effective presentation and communication skills that inspire trust and influence co-operation.
