We are looking for a SW Manager to join our Software Engineering team of our Connectivity Solutions Division. The team is responsible for developing and maintaining the software development kit for all our connectivity products.
Job Summary:
As a manager you will be responsible to:
- Lead a team of Embedded SW (SDK) developers
- Setting objectives for the team and the team members
- Monitor progress of team members
- Conduct appraisals
- Delegate responsibility within the team
- Ensure activities are properly prioritized and completed to the appropriate standards.
- Schedule your own and team’s tasks and participate in SW planning
- Write, test, review and document Embedded Software.
- Coordinate with other disciplines such as Systems, Hardware, Application and Marketing. Translate functional plans into operational processes and guide execution.
- Receive objective based assignments, and determine resources to meet schedules and goals
- Bachelor level with approx. 10+ years working experience in Embedded SW development.
- Fully competent in all aspects of software engineering, concerning coding and testing.
- Knowledge of embedded SW development and Processor Architecture
- Experience in C programming and design/development of software in deeply embedded platforms
- Software development methodologies (Agile, SW testing, CI/CD etc.) and SCM (Git, SVN etc.)
- Ability to prioritize work, set goals and meet deadlines for self and others.
- Very good communication skills
- Excellent written and verbal skills in English.
- Strong analytical, diagnostic and problem solving skills – Familiarity with embedded debugging tools and programming in a resource constrained environment
- At lest 3 years work experience as a team lead or Manager in a similar position.
Desirable:
- Increased experience in leading a team of Software Engineers
- Proven experience working in semiconductor projects
- Experience in wireless protocols (Bluetooth or WiFi)
- Experience as a hiring manager and ability to attract and retain talent.
