Job Description:
About the Job
Packsize is seeking a customer-facing Software Integration Engineer to lead the design and delivery of complex system integrations across Azure cloud and on-premise environments.
In this role, you will transform approved Functional Specification Documents (FSDs) into fully operational integrations that connect Packsize systems with ERP, WMS, MRP, and other enterprise platforms.
This is a hands-on technical role that sits at the intersection of software, networking, cloud infrastructure, and industrial automation. You will work directly with customer IT and operations teams to design, implement, validate, troubleshoot, and support integrations that power mission-critical order, pick, pack, and ship workflows. You will also be traveling to customer sites as per the project's needs and participating in the on-call rotation as the highest escalation point for integration-related issues.
What You’ll Do
Own the end-to-end delivery of customer integrations, translating approved FSDs into fully operational solutions across Azure and on-prem environments.
Build, and validate APIs, message flows, data mappings, and Packsize integration workflows that connect Packsize systems with ERP, WMS, and other enterprise platforms.
Lead technical discussions with customer IT and operations teams, guiding implementation through installation, UAT, go-live, and stabilization.
Design and troubleshoot network and system communication paths, including VPNs, firewalls, DNS, certificates, PLC-connected equipment, and IoT devices.
Serve as the primary technical escalation point for integration-related issues, performing root cause analysis across application, infrastructure, and network layers.
Map current and future state business processes across order, pick, pack, and ship workflows.
Contribute to integration standards, documentation, and repeatable implementation practices to improve delivery consistency.
Collaborate with Product, Software Engineering, Solutions Development, and Support teams on complex issues requiring cross-team coordination.
What You’ll Need
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
3–5+ years of hands-on software integration or technical implementation experience.
Fluent in English (Written & Spoken)
Strong networking fundamentals: TCP/IP, routing, NAT, VPNs, DNS, firewall configuration, TLS/certificates.
Experience working in Azure or similar cloud environments, as well as on-prem server infrastructure.
Experience designing and troubleshooting REST APIs and system-to-system integrations.
Ability to read and interpret network diagrams that include industrial/OT components (PLCs, sensors, conveyors, IoT devices).
Strong troubleshooting skills across applications, infrastructure, and network communication layers.
Experience working directly with customers in a technical, consulting, or implementation capacity.
Nice to Have
Experience integrating with ERP or WMS platforms such as NetSuite, SAP, Manhattan, Oracle, or Microsoft Dynamics.
Ability to speak other European languages (Dutch or German)
Familiarity with IoT devices, Linux hosts, and message brokers.
Experience in manufacturing, supply chain, distribution, or industrial automation environments.
Experience authoring or contributing to Functional Specification Documents (FSDs).
Knowledge of Lean, Continuous Improvement, or operational process optimization.
