Job Description- Design and build advanced applications for the Android platform
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features
- Work with outside data sources and APIs
- Unit-test code for robustness, including edge cases, usability, and general reliability
- Work on bug fixing and improving application performance
- Continuously discover, evaluate, and implement new technologies to maximize development efficiency
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to team discussions on architecture and best practices
- Stay up-to-date with the latest Android development trends and technologies
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field
- 3+ years of professional experience in Android app development
- Strong proficiency in Java and Kotlin programming languages
- In-depth knowledge of Android SDK, different versions of Android, and how to deal with different screen sizes
- Familiarity with RESTful APIs to connect Android applications to back-end services
- Strong understanding of Android UI design principles, patterns, and best practices
- Experience with offline storage, threading, and performance tuning
- Ability to design applications around Material Design principles
- Familiarity with cloud message APIs and push notifications
- Experience with version control systems, particularly Git
- Knowledge of the Android app publishing process on Google Play Store
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team
