Why this role is important to us
As a Software Engineer, you will become part of the Valuation & Market Data product area within SimCorp's Product Division, responsible for delivering functionality that enables clients to make investment decisions with our back-office applications.
The Valuation & Market Data product area consists of four teams spread across several geographical locations.
You will apply your experience to all development lifecycle stages, including creating and reviewing user stories, development, design, testing, coding, code reviews, writing automated tests, and support. The ideal candidate should have APL (A Programming Language) and C# expertise and be enthusiastic about delivering high-quality, scalable software.
You will join a team where most development is done using APL, with occasional C# tasks.
What you will be responsible for:
You will be using multiple technologies, and your responsibilities will also include:

Working with a team of software engineers in the design, development, and maintenance of software applications

Working with product management to refine new features
-
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and define software requirements

Design, and implement robust and efficient APL and C# code

Developing core functionality to support the business modules

Maintaining the existing code base
-
Constantly learning and developing yourself and our product

Conduct code reviews to ensure code quality and adherence to best practices

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field
