Overview
The US Employer Technology (USE-T) organization at Cigna is seeking a DevOps Engineer to support the Next Generation Client Reporting platform used for Reporting, Analytics, and Data Exploration. This role focuses on building and operating CI/CD pipelines and AWS cloud infrastructure to enable secure, reliable, and scalable application delivery.
The ideal candidate demonstrates strong ownership, accountability, and an automation-first mindset, and partners closely with engineering and business teams to deliver solutions aligned with Cigna’s strategic goals.
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain end-to-end CI/CD pipelines
- Architect, deploy, and manage AWS cloud infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code
- Enable secure, scalable, and highly available application environments
- Partner with application teams to improve deployment velocity and reliability
- Drive automation, standardization, and self-service tooling
- Support platform operations, monitoring, and continuous improvement
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience
- 3+ years of experience as a DevOps Engineer or similar role
- 3+ years working in Agile (Scrum or Kanban) teams
- Strong CI/CD experience (Jenkins or equivalent)
- AWS experience: Lambda, API Gateway, RDS, S3, CloudFront, Route53, SNS, SQS
- Container platforms: Docker, OpenShift
- Infrastructure as Code: Terraform, Terragrunt (Please Build preferred)
- Artifact/image repositories: Artifactory, Quay
- Strong experience with Git, Linux, and shell scripting
- Experience supporting large-scale, cloud-based systems
- Strong collaboration and communication skills
- Healthcare experience preferred
- AI-assisted engineering tools a plus
