What you’ll achieve
As a Manager, you will be responsible for managing the activities of a managing infrastructure and onboarding new services. You will work with internal and external partners on the analysis, design, development, and maintenance of Site Reliability Engineering.
You will:

Perform a light amount of HR responsibilities as the first line manager for team members

Establish goals and expectations for team members that align with company policies and standards

Coach and mentor team members to help identify and achieve career growth opportunities

Collaborate with Product and Engineering leadership to establish a team chartaer with achievable goals and strategy that align with the company objectives

Plan, prioritize, and coordinate development activities and delivery of customer value with other business functions including Support, Customer Success, and Product.

Monitor progress, identify challenges, and recommend adjustments to the plan based on actionable engineering metrics
-
Foster an environment that enables the team to thrive and achieve results while maintaining a healthy work-life balance

Be accountable for outcomes and culture of the team

Possess a basic understanding of the architectural and technical foundations of your area of ownership

Advocate to maintain and advance Technical Excellence, e.g. Observability, Scalability, and Stability

Essential Requirements
- Experience mentoring team members in their professional growth
- Experience with agile and lean development practices, metrics driven governance
- Experience with Service management, SRE principles and DevOps principles as core deliverables
- Experience in maintaining large scale software systems in production
- Experience with security complaince, Observability and Incident Management process
- Familiarity with managing highly scalable production environment
- Written and verbal communication skills, including one on ones with team members, and asynchronous communication with other teams.
Desirable Requirements - 7+ years experience in software developement/operations
- 3+ years experience in people leadership
- Basic understanding of integration services
- Experience in event-driven and micro services architectures
