Your Role

This team is tasked with building and maintaining core systems used by our customer base around the world. To fit this role, we are looking for that unique mix of solid technical capabilities, blended with strong interpersonal skills.

Your Responsibilities
As an experienced and solution-oriented Software Engineer Manager your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to: working with our product teams to provide timely, effective and performant solutions; contributing to the design of scalable data solutions, including the development of automated pipelines; implementing and/or maintaining database systems to ensure the availability and consistent performance of our application suite; understand and define business data requirements and identify data needs and data sources to create scalable data architecture and support enhancements, new product and implementation. You will be a leader coaching, mentoring, and training team members driving both employee and team development and growth. As Manager, you are also skilled in fostering collaboration, innovation, and integrity within your division while promoting employee growth and development through coaching, training and mentoring. 

Responsibilities

  • Manage, mentor and coach a high performing group of software developers guiding career paths and growth

  • Write, build and deploy code

  • Analyze business application requirements, identify concerns and develop action plans

  • Be part of an Agile team, leading the development team, using company’s latest software development life-cycle, working closely with team members from Romania and US

  • Leverage our Cloud infrastructure (AWS) to design solutions that make the best of it

  • Maintains existing legacy applications

  • Track down and resolve bugs in any OPIS code base

  • Adhere to best practice development standards (such as continuous integration and deployment)

Your Expertise

  • Bachelor’s Degree in computer science or related technical field

  • 7+ years hands-on software development experience

  • Strong knowledge of OOP principles

  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft products, such as C#, .NET Framework, and .NET 6/8

  • Knowledge of web services, including protocols and architectures

  • Knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript libraries/frameworks (jQuery, React, Bootstrap, etc.)

  • Good understanding of a relational database engine - SQL Server (or PostgreSQL)

  • Experience with modern software development life-cycle

  • Strong, effective communication skills that bring multiple personalities, cultures, and roles together to work towards a common goal

  • Strong ability to communicate ideas verbally and written to promote, educate and evangelize adoption across development teams
