Job Details 
The Software Engineering Manager, Product (AI) provides technical and people leadership for teams building payer- and biller-facing product solutions on InvoiceCloud’s core SaaS platform. This role plays a key part in architectural evolution, delivery execution, and team development, with a strong focus on integrating AI-powered capabilities into product and platform workflows. 
 
Operating in a highly collaborative, agile environment, this leader partners closely with Product, AI Engineering, Platform, and other Engineering leaders to drive scalable, secure, and high-quality outcomes. This role is ideal for a hands-on engineering leader who balances strategy with execution and leads teams building solutions where correctness, compliance, and semantic accuracy are critical.

  • Collaborates closely with Product, AI Engineering, Platform, and other cross-functional teams to deliver integrated solutions. 
  • Influences peers and senior leaders across disciplines to align on shared goals and technical direction. 
  • Builds trust-based relationships across teams, encouraging shared ownership and accountability. 
  • Guides teams in adopting best practices for AI-aware engineering, including observability and benchmarking. 
 
Communicates Effectively  
  • Communicates complex technical, architectural, and AI-related concepts clearly to diverse audiences. 
  • Provides transparent updates on progress, risks, and outcomes to stakeholders at multiple levels. 
  • Creates an environment of open, candid dialogue that supports continuous learning and improvement. 
  • Coaches engineers through feedback, goal-setting, and constructive conversations. 
  • Represents engineering perspectives effectively in planning, prioritization, and leadership forums. 
 
Requirements 
  • Proven success as an engineering or services leader, including direct people management experience 
  • Extensive hands-on experience in enterprise software development, preferably within FinTech or regulated environments 
  • Strong background in .NET, ReactJS, and modern SaaS platforms 
  • Experience leading agile teams with a focus on Scrum-based delivery 
  • Ability to influence product leaders, architects, and peer engineering managers 
  • Experience with cloud platforms, code modernization, and scalable system design 
  • Programming experience in C#, SQL, Python, PowerShell, JavaScript, and ReactJS 
  • Experience building and operating systems in regulated environments (e.g., PCI, SOC 2, HIPAA) 
  • Familiarity with test-driven development, CI/CD, and integration frameworks 
  • Experience with distributed systems, microservices, and event-driven architectures 
  • Understanding of performance tuning, availability, and software security best practices 
  • Familiarity with responsible AI practices including data privacy, RBAC, PII minimization, explainability, hallucination monitoring, and auditability 
  • Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders 
  • Self-directed leader with sound judgment and a collaborative spirit
