Elucid is at the forefront of Quantitative Imaging, Tissue Characterization, and Atherosclerotic Plaque Analysis, and our teams are growing! We're seeking an experienced "player-coach" to lead our Image Processing team—someone who thrives on both hands-on leadership and deep technical contribution, developing cutting-edge image processing algorithms and guiding scalable systems as we grow while mentoring a team of talented research engineers to push the boundaries of medical imaging innovation. Your expertise will be instrumental in architecting scalable solutions that seamlessly integrate with our platform and navigating complex technical and business challenges. You'll collaborate closely with cross-functional teams (Applications Development, Product, Regulatory, Clinical) to deliver products transforming cardiovascular disease diagnosis and driving the future of quantitative medical imaging.
The ideal candidate will have:
- 5+ years software/algorithm and AI model development experience in the medical image processing field, with 3+ years leading software development teams.
- Proven experience managing 5+ direct reports in a technical environment.
- Strong hands-on experience in C/C++/Python and AI model development tools.
- Experience with software/algorithm development process in a regulated medical device environment.
- Deep technical knowledge of CT/CTA and other modality image processing and model development in various areas including segmentation and registration.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to break down complex technical concepts.
- Extensive experience collaborating with cross-functional teams, including product management, quality assurance, and user experience design.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a demonstrated ability to lead teams through challenging technical issues and navigate multiple priorities.
- This is a role based out of our office in Boston, MA. Our team is hybrid and has a preference for local candidates or those located in eastern time zones in the continental U.S.
