We are seeking an experienced Software Engineering Manager to lead teams responsible for building and modernizing critical custody and securities processing platforms supporting global financial markets.
This role is ideal for a technology leader who combines strong engineering management, platform architecture, and delivery execution experience while driving modernization initiatives across complex enterprise systems.
The ideal candidate has experience leading high-performing engineering teams, delivering large-scale transactional platforms, and partnering across business, product, and operations organizations to achieve strategic outcomes.
What You Will Be Responsible ForEngineering Leadership- Lead and mentor software engineering teams, fostering a culture of innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Establish engineering best practices focused on quality, scalability, security, and operational excellence.
- Support career development, coaching, and talent growth across the organization.
- Own end-to-end delivery of platform capabilities from design through production support.
- Drive modernization initiatives across applications, workflows, data platforms, and integration services.
- Improve automation, system reliability, operational efficiency, and engineering productivity.
- Lead technology transformation efforts across legacy and modern technology stacks.
- Provide technical leadership for platform architecture, application development, data management, system integration, and resiliency engineering.
- Partner with architects and engineering leaders to define future-state technology roadmaps.
- Ensure solutions meet performance, scalability, security, and regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with product, operations, and business teams to deliver solutions aligned with strategic priorities.
- Manage execution across multiple interconnected initiatives and platforms.
- Communicate technical direction and delivery plans to senior leadership and key stakeholders.
The successful candidate will demonstrate:
- Experience leading engineering teams in large-scale enterprise environments.
- Strong understanding of distributed systems, application integration, and high-volume transaction processing.
- Experience delivering platform modernization, transformation, or cloud migration initiatives.
- Ability to balance technical leadership, delivery execution, and people management responsibilities.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management capabilities.
- Experience operating within regulated or highly controlled environments is a plus.
- 10+ years of software engineering experience.
- 5+ years of engineering leadership or people management experience.
- Proven success delivering complex technology initiatives and platform transformations.
- Experience leading Agile teams in enterprise environments.
- Background in financial services, capital markets, custody, securities processing, payments, or other transaction-intensive platforms is highly desirable.
- Experience with cloud technologies, APIs, event-driven architectures, microservices, and modern engineering practices is a plus.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field.
Work Requirement
Onsite 4 days a week in office and one day remote
Standard business hours aligned to project and stakeholder needs(8am to 5pm)
Salary Range:
$120,000 - $217,500 AnnualThe range quoted above applies to the role in the location specified. If the candidate would ultimately work outside of the location above, the applicable range could differ.
